Can Not Create Directshow Player

Everytime i try to watch a video on some site, this message pops up. Problem is, it started happening while i was away so theres nothing i could have done to make it happen. What to do ? :<

Uninstall windows media player
delete c:\program files\windows media player\ (folder+contents)
Download/reinstall windows media player from windows update site
