Is placing you BB in a spot while leaving to camp another spot "claiming"?


Ie if I planted my BB at Tanglers, would that mean I "claimed" that spot ?

I'd think so yes, it's like leaving a book or mag in your seat while you get up and go away for a sec.

"camping" a spot, is pulling from there, having a char at the place, that actually CAN pull from the spot, standing with some grey con alt and a bb, aint enough to keep me from pulling

well me and "my" BB and 2 other guildies went to camp one of the "ancient zombies" camps, and we pulled for aprox 20 minutes, and then two chaps from HB *coughKalarrandGoharcough* comes claiming that they have that spot camped, they just left to pull from another camp while the mobs respawned....

ofc we refused to leave since we had that spot camped, and they wasnt in sight , and then they come over pulling from our spot.. they said they even contacted a CSR ( alltough i dont think a CSR was availible ) and I quote, they said : " no u be the only one leaving " and " for a few wks ".. got screenies ill put up when I got a site to put em on

not forever, but I'd wait 5 minutes or so, if they aint back then oh well

In that example given above they were in the wrong, in my humble opinion. The spot was rightfully yours.

sorry that i post this but two things:

Firstly Claiming a spot or mob is Forbidden,

Secondly placing some unusefull item (character)on a spot does not give someone the right to keep that spot.

thirdly: Why do you think camp bonus drops? ok, most don't mind, but i start to think it has a bigger means nowadayz...

i have to be honest, i have done it also, and it doesn't feel right..
so sorry to the ppl i could have offended this way when i wasn't RP'ing with my main
although when someone else comes at the spot and he starts nuking i will alway try to talk about things...
i won't go : " HEY CAMPED! PLS LEAVE! THIS IS MY SPOT"

if things go this way ,i have even noticed when the alt comes back.. the person does one, two more nukes, then he moves on...
even then i do feel bad on one hand, but exilirated on the other, lol, NO FIGHT!! GREAT!!

how to solve all problems:

TALK, CHAT

CLAIMING CAMPING, try to challenge me in game with the words
"HEY i'M camping here, pls leave" will only make me drain that room. Only if there was no one there off course, i always prospect a spot before i nuke.

Do the German servers have sun beds and beach towels available from traders?

After all they have been "camping" swimming pool sun beds all over Europe for decades

two ways of doing so:
firstly: not trying to claim a spot is verry considerate, not leaving some buffbot to be sure you keep a spot is considerate.....

secondly: chatting, talking , asking, is verry considerate since most situations can be solved in a couple of sentences....

if you leave some characters afk for over 10 minutes, i personlly think you should logg, get back in 10 minutes later... if the spot is still free, you are lucky , if not.... move on

Thats also the reason why in a former thread i suggested to try to group the PL 'ing ppl at some spots, let the news roam our realm and let those ppl guild-up. Wiuld avoid a lot of probs.... i know it all seems to serious, all should be spontanious....

what can you expect in a communtity where over 1000 ppl roam a place? Conflict..... ain't that normal? So the real problem is Conflict managment

Another thing some ppl specialize in is with the multiple players on their account, they spread out characters over different guilds.
They come along with one of their alts, the one you personally know, then they log a unkown character to you and test your way of reacting..........
thats the communtity life...... Sick ppl out there, healthy ppl out there......

Endless discussions with endless sollutions... it's up to us to try to get em to work )

ok camping a spot is against the CoC. Though Mythic don't help this by putting the mobs in camps and even given a camp bonus. When i started playing this game other people respected the fact that your were pulling or camping a spot. We used to even ask to be PMed when you were thinking of going.

When im in a grp, pulling from a spot i have no problem with people coming up and asking if we mind them pulling. Some camps can take 2 grps pulling from them. Ii sometimes helps to have another grp there, you can help each other when things go bad.

What winds me up is when a grp just walks in to the camp and starts pulling. Ok they are allowed to do that but it shows total disrespect for others. Prehaps this is starting to happen more due to the increase in the number of younger people in the game, or prehaps some of the older people think they have some god given right to camp spots.

ofc you can't claim a spot for ever

but lets say you were in one spot and you die and the only thing that survive was you buffbot
and lets say you need 10mins to come on spot again
if some1 else came in your spot you can tell him that he can pull or sthing from the spot until you are back from the release....the spot is yours no matter what.....you have died and since you are coming back you can camp the spot again......
too bad there are ppls that do not understand that.....

but ofc you can't leave your BB there and say the spot is claimed if you do not anything.....
