Cameras on Assault

Have the assault cameras been disabled, or is there something wrong with my setup? I can use them, but nobody appears on the screens anymore.

Does anyone else have this problem?

you know i've had the same problem, while playin i run and check em, but its empty nobody is around, which is strange coz 5secomnds later the green door streeches....

i find them handy and would also know why i cant see anyone..

likewise, if you get to them really quick after spawn you see for a second or so and then the cts disappear off the screen. As I'm on of those peeps that uses the cams to see when poor unsuspected cts are "dropping in", this is a ballache. I had assumed it was just me and was going to reinstall the map, BW is it something in the server setup?

I have a variation on that, when playing Ts, I can see Ts on the cameras fine but cannot any CTs even if they are there :/.

hmm, well when i go T's no one leaves the building lol..

altho you have hit somethin there, coz when i went to the CT Spawn Cameras, i only seen CTs invadin the buildin.. so i said it was clear and they all got killed

It isn't only Barrysworld servers either, I play regularly on an assault 24/7 server (yes I know), and the cameras don't work on that either. I will try the ct cameras and see if I can see cts on them.

The pings are pretty good, although there are lots of newbies on them. There are some extremely good players on there though.

Also, what about the cameras on Siege and Vegas? Do they still work?

hmm.. why dont you try a LAN Game, see if the cameras work on there? If they do then somethin like CS Guard has knocked em off..

The cameras in siege are located at the end of the sewer, there are a few blue computer monitors, use them.

are you getting confused with Militia? I just went on Siege and found no Monitors at the end of the sewer.. but i know there is on Militia

But then again Assault is crap and boring so I dont play it.

There I was thinking I was a complete spaz at using the cameras too... Haven't used em at all really, always found I got wasted looking at them although - in theory I should be able to see the bugger sneaking up behind me.

Your right bungle lol, i hate it when someone is watchin you in the vents, and when they hear the *click* sound they start blastin ya.

Also when you try to get off the monitor but the fecker wont let you, instead it switches to monitor 2 or somethin, thus you get wasted again lol.

Last used cameras on Assault and Militia about this time last year

Though I do know Adz uses them regularly and he has no problems...

Never had a problem with the cameras. Its probably just another bug in CS. Why not ask on the official CS forums?

Well you dont get shafted from the vent if youre teammates do their job properly...

and even if youre alone you can still check the vents and other cameras with only a tiny interval... you will always see the enemy go in and whichever way they go in..

Well I use the cameras on Assault for:

• As T, lobbing HE grenades into the corner, just next to the external ladder
• As CT, when totally outnumbered, camping with AWM on the tall building, watching the cameras to c where they leave
• Dropping from the vent and whacking anyone who is using the cameras to find me!

I have noticed that for the 1st round, if I leave the cameras for a few secs and then use them, I get a brief 1/2 second flash of ct-mayhem before they magically vanish.

I ran to the Assault Monitors, looked, and within a blink someone was there then they wasnt... never seen anyone again

Hmmm, maybe all this is a video card problem, I've got a slightly outdated driver on now, and I can use the cameras again. MOH is behaving like a lunatic though, with grey flickering trees and such.

If (IF) I were to upgrade from my Matrox G400, what would be a good card to buy? I'm talking reasonably fast, works faultlessly with everything, and not too expensive.
