how do I remove the "list all tabs" icon from FF3.5?

tried using this code in the userchrome.css file

.tabs-newtab-button, .tabs-container > stack {display:none!important}

but doesn't work

any ideas?

(BTW, don't download 3.5 it sucks - had to download an add-on just to permanently remove tab-tearing)

Using 3.6 and it works fine. Not sure about removing the icon though mate.

dude.... that is the windows taskbar, nothing to do with FF. Your use of screen space is wasteful, my FF has only one menu bar, which incorporates the navigation bar. Getting rid of the bookmarks bar etc, gives you a much larger area for viewing your actual web sites.

edit:// I saw from a comment you made you have a widescreen monitor? Trust, me give my layout style a chance, good use of those extra inches!

I could certainly do with losing the Google search bar at the top - I never use that

I use most of my bookmarks every day. Where am I going to stick them? (yeah yeah ha ha). I'm kind of used to just one-clicking them and they open up

If you don't use the search bar, then put your bookmarks next to your url bar, so where I have the search bar in my image.

take a screenshot matey, read in a general forum thread that there is a plugin that lets you do a "chrome" style set-up. So tabs on top, no title bar. It has a few bugs though, so have to wait for a new version.

A lot better, it's a shame you have so many bookmarks, or they would sit comfortably in-line with the menu and url bar.

Infact, they still could - I don't use the bookmarks toolbar, so not sure, but can you disable the text and have it just display the icon?

Yeah not sure about that - the extra lines of space are good, but it looks very cluttered.

Oh and lamp, you were one of those weird people who used "mustard" colour scheme on windows 3.x weren't you?
