Cache Memory on a hard drive

Ok. From what I understand already, cache memory on a hard drive is fast storage for the CPU, allowing faster recall of data. My question is, would it be worth, say, an extra £5 to go from 2mb of cache to 8mb of cache on a hard drive?

yes... for £5 you can't go wrong...

PS try to spread out you drives accress your IDE sockes as much as poss
