OK well 9 out of the top 10 cabalists worldwide use this spec or very close to it according to cabalist.org This is an RvR template btw although it still rocks in PvE.

Matter 46 : Best AE DoT, 2nd best single target DoT, Nearsight and 27dps dmg shield for pet. The 33dps would be nice but Mythic only put it so high that you would lose utilty in other lines by speccing it.

Body 24 : 120sec 300 radius AE Disease, speed debuff, transfer health and with items to get it Body 34 you get on the higher dmg table for the lifetaps.

Spirit 14 : Mostly leftovers but gives all the base pet buffs and dmg add, plus the consume pet spell.

If I was speccing a Cabalist that is the road I would take, not because it is popular but it is alot of fun to play and does things that Albion badly need.

well im having fun with a spec of

50 matter
20 body
4 spirit
(i think thats it, havent really looked since turned 50)

Managed to use bob to tank 2 of the princes in df last night. the other prince 1 shot him once i got him to half life.

and with the ae dot ive managed to get 185k rp so far in a week which is not bad for a caba

and i only really use bob in rvr to get pwr back or chase stealthers

OMG a Cabalist who actually knows how to play the class in RvR to it's strengths, we could use more like you 185k in a week is a nice total and I bet you pissed off alot of Mids/Hibs whist doing it, yay!

UPDATE : Infact it seems a few Cabalists are doing much better since respec, no doubt most of them went high Matter. However there are still loads that haven't got anywhere near RR4 which always worried me as Cabalist is one class that Albion has been short of since start of retail and yet in my mind is Albions strongest RvR caster.

Until 1.51+ hit US servers, people stayed away from Cabalist, as it was seen as a gimp class

Those of us that played then knew it wasn't a gimp class, but an extremely varied one, and damned fun to play aswell.

All 3 specs are viable, although spirit needs something to make it more attractive.

I went matter purely for nearsight initially, due to the fact Albion had hardly anyone with nearsight, and boy did the mids & hibs get a shock when a bunch of cabalists hit 50

I was 46m 28b 4s as I didnt see the point in the last spec dot and pet shield, and went for a better heal and disease, but I've just respecced to 50m 20b 4s due to stacking dots

At this spec, you still get a low heal (you dont really get to use it a lot out of PvE anyway) and a 90sec 250m radius disease.

There are rumblings about fixing spirit spec by altering the ae snare, which is well overdue.

Whichever spec you go for, I'd say take the main line to at least 46 to maximise your damage.
