The 1.8T is smoother, about the same speed, doesn't rattle first thing in the morning, doesn't emit large clouds of black smoke when pushed hard and is cheaper to buy and refuel.

well, did actually but the bloke wouldn't sell it to me cos I was drunk at the time
also could have been due to the fact that I said "ooh what a funny car!!3" and didn't notice his face turn a violent shade of puce

Ok, OK, I admit it I was a bit hasty with my judgement. I have to admit I havnt driven diesel since my Sierra 2ltr went down the pan

Since Ive started travelling to work by myself (50mile round trip) the Beemer is caning me on fuel and tyres. So I took young Lazzers advice and took the above mentioned motah for a spin this morning.

Has to be said that I was pleasantly surprised, and if I can get a decent price for me BM, I may just get an A3.

Dont know if I can live with the fact that we will then have 2 "family" cars though.
