I don't like that it kept asking me to build silos and I couldn't find them :(

Iirc, there's a button underneath the minimap which you click, which opens up another set of buildings which you can construct, including silos.

Psyco, the first C&C game was the first Tiberium war, Tiberian Sun was the second, and this one is the third.

I thought the demo was great. I love the way they have gone back to the basics of C&C and left out all the crap that just gets in the way. I also think the FMV is great. It's just pissing me off that it's not out for 4 weeks. :|

Am I missing something or are you unable to set waypoints? And you'd think by now the troops would be able to get from one side of tiberium to the other w/o running right through it >.<

Also the demo is insanely easy, beat it on all settings simply by churning out mammoths. No other troop types once I had them, just mammoths.

Zzzzz

I'm reserving judgement on SC til next week when I upgrade my PC enough to play it :p

Edit: who cares about story!

Imo from what little of the demo i have played it tottaly owns

timeline:

Tiberium Dawn (C&C 1) Renegade (the fps) Tiberium Sun and finally Tiberium war

not nessesarly released in that order :p

Red alert is now a seperate universe however in the soviet ending of the original Red Alert (PC) Kane and this women kill stalin, the women goes on about the brotherhood (of nod) then Kane kills the women and says how he is the future, meaning it was sort of ment to be orginally linked

i played the demo when it came out. bored the sh*t outta me.
I enjoyed the previous C&Cs. i loved the Red Alerts. Generals was even fun when it wasnt being buggy and shit.
This.... is C&C in new clothing. same ole same ole.
Dont get me wrong its a solid game. but i have played it before.
I really didnt see anything new or exciting in it.
After playing SC which it seems some of you dislike. (ill withhold from telling you while your all wrong so wrong :p) i think this is a pitiful excuse for a new RTS. it reminds me of quake 4. Its Quake 2 with better gfx. sure it was fun to run and gun like the old days but in my books it wont win any medals.
Its just simply not trying. an i think thats my problem. i need games that want to be big bold and new and to impress me. this seems its just like they want to make money by giving my something i already have.

This guy could give cyfr a run for his money.

Someone bought me a Google for Dummies at Christmas, it was muchly appreciated.

More on subject, im now stuck in a muddle because i've used linux on both my pc and laptop for sometime now and well my pc isn't even capable of running games since my old one broke.

Do I install windows on my laptop to play C&C? It looks ever so good..

ah C&C, good memories.
Making Engineers and drawing a player out (online) and taking his entire base with a MPC(or what those mobile personal carriers were called) filled with Engineers when's he's busy in a fight with every single unit of his :p

Have every single C&C game with expansion untill they released that 3d version and EA took over Westwood but C&C3 sure looks nice and might give it a shot, great that they still have Joe Kucan playing Kane.
Always liked those begin and end movies aswell.
