Mythic so called balance dude: Hmm, Crit strike seems a bit overpowered, let's nerf it!

Same balance dude 6 months later: Oh dear, now all the SB's have stopped using crit strike and are being shadowzerks. Didn't want that to happen! I know, let's nerf left axe too! That'll balance it!!

Sorry, but I missed the part where it says nerf? They say they are addressing the la/end regen combo, not that la is gonna get nerfed afaic...

Umm have a read of it again, is does more than its intended usualy means its gona be nerfed.

I remebered when then "fixed left axe" what they did was to Nerf DF so bad that we can't even reconize it any more

It has nerf writen all over it... ppl have been whinning about Zerker dmg for quite sometime .. not realizing that those thta mkae those huge hits has 35 quickness or less, thereby swinging alot lower then the average speed.... + ofc some very nice crits

This will happen in 1.62 and my guess is that .62 will come to life sometime in the late 2004...hopefully i have found another game by then............

When it comes isnt really relevant imo. I spoke to some TL's abotu this, heres an email i got.

This isnt to say he agree's with it, but the point is overtime damage being negated by end regen.

This just got me thinking about LargeWeps+end regen or paladins(end regen) team with polearmsmen :p.

Probably not the best comparison considering the difference in the dps of LW/Polearms and dual wield weapons but i see what you are saying.

why the hell dont they just delete mid's and put in a shooting galery instead..clearly they dont want us fighting back..90% of our classes are allready sub par compared to our " counter " classes

When they nerf our buffs, midgard is gone, its one of the things that keep us fighting. All our tanks/hybrids are substandard, our casters are decent, but if more come along they are gonna start nerfing them too.

Yea, but imo Left Axe is midgards most powerfull combat weapon in melee, I believe these of the other 2 in their realms, thats my only reason for choosing those to compare :).

Well i feel sort of sad for all those zerkers, was one of the few classes i've ever feared seeing in RvR :( .

About Shadowzerks. Sort of makes me sick seeing 95% of SB-s don't even try to perf, just DF away, really shows something , doesn't it ?

Not sure what they will do but for sake of Mid, hope it won't be something too drastic :)

Dont get the bit? Shadowzerkers dont have PA... Mercinfils dont have PA.. :eek7:

What a sensation! Players do more damage with end-regen? Wow...and another cool fact is that it's only Sb's with LA that makes more damage. Wow, great that Mythic told me this, i thought every class was benefiting from end-regen, but luckily Mythic informed me, and set my mind on the correct path.

For example, before a Pala could slam once or twice before having to back down, but now they can do it until it sticks. Thank you Mythic for telling me that that is no benefit at all....

we was doing whit 4 kalevala member one epic, near nottmoore where is 3 yellow and 1 purple alb invader.
3 lvl 50, healer, thane and my bers, +48 thane if remember correct whos epic this was.
healer mezzed 3 yellow and we started hit purple epic mob.
dunno how high end regen using was? but i tryed be carefully, and used positional + 3 chain (ravager, atrophy, s-blade).
before mob was 30% healt, i was out endurance.
together we atleast kill mob, short rest to get end back and kill yellow mobs.
whit that 50% i had endurance back kill one yellow and helped kill other, end of fight again out endurance.
whit end regen offcourse do more dmg but only in longer period, dmg isnt bigger but we can still do styles after 7 swings.

later yesterday run to ~12 hibs in odin, fighted against hero, notice hero was in ~30 htps, and i was again out endurance, 70-80% healt left.
he moosed, i hit base hits huge 100dmg :) other hibs helped and in short time eat dirt.

la down, now just wait for the vnboard whiners to yack enough over aestun and insta cc so they'll nerf the living daylight out of that class as well.

(ps why does the magic realm have pbt in scale armour?)


ps : its easy to get ooe even with end4

Im critblade and proud of it. 95% is over the mark i think, lot of soulblades/critblades in mid still, not all of us are shadowzerkers.

What I really fail to realise is this:

Why shouldn't a realm that is primarily melee have a class that outdamages the tanks from the other realms? If it's the endurance issue, they'll need to nerf totems and potions

originally hib was only realm intended to get end regen, since our styles used up ALOT more then any other weapon styles, u can go OOe in 4 Cs styles, so end regen was implemented to help us a bit.

as it is, we now have the worst of the end regens.

be glad u have it at all, and smile :D

personally i think they wont touch LA dmg. but nurf end regen 3 which is what most people get.

either they will make it a ranged buff still on a timer or make it a group chant or something.

either way end regen is gonna get nurfed somehow

only they way they could nurf LA without change`n its dmg is increase its end cost which will totally mess up solo`n for alot of people.

Absolutley! Make it a chant and give it to Skalds, make Skalds feel wanted for a change instead of the bloody glorified taxi's that they are.

Erm most SB's don't group there by don't get end regen buffs off shaman anyway.

Most just have a backpack full of end regen potions.

So nerfing end regen on shamans isn't gonna fix whatever problem they believe there is.

More 'features' they add to this game the more unbalanced it gets :-(

In-combat end-regen was always a silly thing to add imo. I can uderstand giving end regen a boost in down-time, cos noone likes down-time, but the perma styling/sprinting makes a mockery of the whole concept of endurance.

Simple change: end only regens with standing/sitting out of combat, should restore the balance issues and bring zerk damage back into line. They'll still be able to front-load the damage, but they'll be ooe after four swings.

YEAH nerf shamans we are so uber....nerf me ffs....god forbid the melee realm ( LMAO ) is able to do some dmg..on one of its warrior type's..Teador..you played a mid ???....I say we give skalds the group RA..group IP...the other realms have the abillity to take half dgm...and we get the abillity to get 2x the hp.. sounds fair to me :clap: :clap:

I've recently leveled a zerk, so I'm not that experienced with it.

But what I've found so far is, that Doublefrost is imposoble to use without a shammy in group, I get maybe 7 hits out of it, then I'm ooe. I'm forced to use lower dmging styles cause of this when I'm solo.

the shammy end buff is the only thing that makes doublefrost work at all, still possible to go ooe with it.

As for the dmg, my norse zerk does 150-350 dmg, then 50-70dmg when I ooe, this is with a cleaver/ bearded axe setup and 50+6LA 50+10Axe speced.


Zerker is designed for high melee dmg and low defence.

I can kill fast, but I die fast, imo thats balanced.

Getting sick of nerf's to classes I love in mid :'(

I thought Midgard was the melee realm.
But now it looks like it's gonna be nerfed into the "useless wet fish" realm.
