Btw people who talk about protecting caster have no idea at
all about RvR. You cant protect a cloth wearing caster from 8 unmezzed/purged people who just wants to kill him. Even when
he gets full con and dex buffs, have a personal slam paladin with faith heal as bodyguard, and a cleric which are told to burn instas
when sorc is hit. And sorc will be primary target for any enemy
group. Some sorcs do extremely well like Veeshan, but you cant
expect all who plays sorc to be rr7 and as good as Veeshan. For
those not, its pretty frustrating to look at mid/hib (next patch) CC classes. Its pretty frustrating to finally have made a mezz and then its grouppurged. CC's are first target in any encounter, and
even if your group win the sorc nearly allways dies. Sorcs have
a big sign saying kill me first instead of a realm name, same goes for bards. 8 norseman/dwarf mids come charging with mach5, who the fuck is the healer with insta aemezz/aestun, well look for the small small shield before he gets insta off

So i do understand you, maybe SWG will be more balanced, hell i might play UT again.

Heh i came from mid to albion Sorusi, and cant say its better in mid, yes albs suck in RvR, but they are great in exping (after lvl 20). Imo in midgard there are many selfish people with strange things like "List" in lair .

On the other hand that list gives SBs and hunters an equal oppurtunity to get exp so the mid forum doesn't have 2000 rogues posting complaining about not being able to get a group and lvl.....

And if lists aren't your thing there's always DF nowadays.

Sad to see you go Sorusi, but if you want a real gimped caster try a air theurg, all the same spells as a body sorc but less range//duration.

Bearing in mind that pbt is mostly useless, and air pets even more useless.

Sorc gets pet, lifedrain, ae con debuff etc

Seems like you leaving lots of bewildered friends and guild mates behind. Why not temporarily swap accounts with someone? What will you do when SB's get nerfed, change again? A character of your stature and skill set deleting from Albion is a great loss, look all over these boards at how people gag for sorcerer's. I seldom beat an FC group, they are respected by both midgard and hibernia, and believe me mate, reinforced leather makes no difference, bards are also ganked to pieces.

Damm Sorusi sad to see you leave but comletely understand why as sorcerers can be a damm frustrating class in rvr to play.

You were a good member of DP until you set up FC as you wanted more rvr and it was sad to see you leave the guild , its even sadder to see you leave the realm.

Hope you have fun in mid m8, and its a loss to the realm that one of albions best sorcs is going.

Thx for all the goodbyes, and i did play alot of friends account, and took some breaks aswell... But the constant reminders about how mezz is nerfed etc etc, and reading the us forums + asking friends on us how they feel about their sorc wasnt really motivateing me

It kinda depresses me how peeps, after sweating blood for months to pop 50, make a lot of nice acquaintances along the way (and obviously some less nice ), delete and roll another realm. It happened early on with a lot of bandwagonners from Mid turning toe the "winning side" (although a couple have returned) and the trend seems to be the other way now.

From the outside looking in it does appear to me (and apologies if I am way off the mark here) that Albion is a disjointed realm - riddled with feudalism/factionalism and oneupmanship at the higher levels amongst the guilds. It's probably not my place to say it, but why not swallow some pride, put the past and personal differences behind yourselves and unite under one common banner and work as a team? Sorusi's plight on a personal level is symptomatic of the wider picture in Albion as a whole.

No offense but albion can be selfish too as they have a list too at levels 40 to 50 at those big trees in Lyonesse

???? have you been playing on the right server? Lists? Never seen one and would ignore it even if I did. What we have is a mutal respect to not over camp an area, some as everywhere dont follow this unwritten code, but hey u get ignorance everywhere.

People seem to have missed the point of the list (again). It's not to exclude people from a group/camp it's because people see you camping and say "can I join when someone leaves", you say yes, another person comes up and asks the same so you so ok, you're second on the list, and so the list is born.
Ignoring the list = campstealing which you (elfslayer) say you don't do. Nice contradiction.

Exp was always simple, you come, flag looking for group, or (wich is imo is easyer) ask other flagged soloers if they wanna make a grp, pick needed classes, theres always 1 place for leech class and go exp. Just not exping in camped spots. Simple and effective. In mid i remember spending 2-3 hours soloing in Spindel with my thane at lvl 41, without possibility to get a grp....

for minstrel it's no brain to find a group from lvl 10, when you get your 1st manaregen, just equip your drum, press the button, stick to some1 and go afk
try lvl some1 less useful in pve and then you will find out that list is the only way to go

its just its no fun to play period.

wether its true or not (and yes i believe it is) albions think they are underpowered as a realm compared to mid/hib, and lose an awful lot of fights in RvR where they have numbers/equal so should win right ? but we dont.

Also thats why bgs are full of albs camping pks because there is no fun to be had in main RvR so every1s going to the bgs.

*shrugs* you can say all you like that mid/hib is equal but i wont believe it as too many times i see albs lose fights they should win, and my arse do mid/hib have superior skilled players

And theres always a little grass is greener other side feeling so when you lose lots it makes perfect sense to go to the other side to me, i mean why play a game where you feel your at a disadvantage ? no fun in losing due to that.

tbh i think a lot of albs would happily go to another realm if it wasnt simply for the fact of the people they know and leveled with in alb.

plus having watched just how fast hibs can get into a relic keep and kill uber guards compared to how long its taken us on every trip ive been on .. i cant help but see evidence everywhere that other realms are simply better than us.

But of course, youll say this is simply due to hibs being better organised and skilled and led.

i havent seen mids taking relic keeps personally so cant comment on them, plus in RvR its usually the hibs that destroy superior numbers of albs that im with.


Only thing i seen mids do i think is a bit off is when they all /stick and steam thro amg and fire off instas at every1 holding the wall

Well, in a game balance point of view, I think this is sad. Albs lose another of the class they need the most in rvr, and mid gets yet another sb. This isn't good for the server at all.

I'm always suprised the number of people who "re-roll" in Exc when there is another server to go to and new people (who, I have to say, are very nice) to meet.

I don't play Alb as much as I used to but I'm not going to delete may Alb chars and re-roll. Why should I? I have 2 groups of friends now on two servers. Much nicer

Because most albs don't care. The only times they come by is when we shout RELIC RAID in main and even then they start complaining about no one showing up etc. There's a lot of junk albs in this realm and to be honest I'd rather loose em then having them do nothing (this doesn't concern sorusi, because he was one of the best to play with). Yesterday we stayed up till 4:30 to get all our keeps back and take some mid ones as payback. I'm very proud of the people who stayed up and helped.

FFS I was even busy in our frontier this morning to get the albs DF back. I think I can say I'm one of the most active keep takers in albion...

Oh and another thing is why people think they can get RPs only in emain?? I've got over 40K now from just defending my realm for the last weeks. Got me another 2K at Boldiam, killing some remainding Mids (who to be honest weren't really paying attention...) last night.

PS. Killgorde why is it always when I come with my armsman that albs loose and when I come with my cleric albs win?

+700k rp the vast majority of which has been earned earned in Albion and Middie frontiers. I confess to maybe 100k in Emain when I was young and knew no better

And yes Khalen, comparing the benefit of a Cleric to an Armsman is like comparing the benefit of a Healer to my Thane...i.e, there is no comparison. But all classes play their part in some way. It's just getting the right balance.

Its a bit sad to see you leave but I cant blame you and I know your reasons.
I have known you since you were a baby sorc and I lvled DHS with you. I can say I always liked grouping with both in RvR and in Pve. And you are one of the very best players that has played on Excalibur (It seems that many good players are from Sweden ).
Moving from Albion to Mid will make Albion even weaker and Mid alot stronger.
I wish you best luck with your SB even if I cant understand how you can stand lvl another char.
I welcome you to gank DHS/Bellum in Emain, better you then someone else



btw, main CC in MID and HIB has Chain and instant ranged mezz, when Albion has castable mezz and only cloth is joke. Atleast that was one of the reasons.
