Buying the online download

Not sure whether this is the best place to post, but...

As happens every now and again, I'm struck with a strange yearning to resubscribe and see if everything's as fun as it used to be. Sadly, my CD drives are knackered and I have no particular inclination to pay to get them fixed; so I was delighted to find I can pay to download the software off the goa site.

BUT... as I don't have my copy installed (and I can't get it on there from cd) I need to buy the whole thing for 14.99, cheap enough. However, from the text on that option it seems like I won't be able to use my old account if I do this? Anyone know if this is the case? I'd really like to come back, but if my only option to be able to play my old characters is getting my drives fixed and digging out the CDs, I might just skip it.

1 meg, don't see what difference that makes though.

Think I (may have) figured it out though, a little hunting on the site and it looks like I can download the full game+expansions w/o buying the actual licence to play, then I upgrade my existing account.

Now I'm just a little worried I can't find any of my characters on duskwave any more.

Don't worry about Duskwave. It's only showing characters who've been on in the last month or so.

download the triail then edit the update.dat file to the expansion you have currently active then put in your existing account details

hey presto! is a long download theough a few gigs anyway
