8 was nice too, i still have original copies of both games for PSX
Lets start a petition to force square to redo FF7 for PS3 (They have shown a tech demo of it only thus far)
where did you hear/ read that? considering the last i heard was thisThadius said:They are redoing it
UPDATE: We received word as soon as our boys made it back that Square Enix wanted to make it clear that there will not be a Final Fantasy VII remake for PS3. Repeat, there will not be a remake. But, there will be a new Final Fantasy game for the system somewhere down the line. We'll have info on that as it happens
Thadius said:I know you wont have a chance to get this but Final Fantasy Tactics on the ps1 was brilliant.
I had a chipped machine and the copy I had was American, dont think it was released here
But it was fantastic, gave a new slant on the ff series![]()
Dantares said:You know I am kinda surprised that no one has mentioned Kingdom Hearts yet. A very unusual mixture of Disney and Squaresoft. Playing the part of Sora alongside Donald Duck and Goofy with guest appearances from the world of both Disney movies as well as characters from Final Fantasy. Tough game in places too I hear (trying my hardest to get it before Kingdom Hearts 2 is out, with no luck whatsoever yet.)
I think you misplaced bahamut with the first aeon Valefor, bahamut looks as sweet as he does in ever game (<3) while Valefor is the ridicolous birdie you mentioned.Demon2k3 said:ff10 haven't played it but didn't like the look of bahamut summon. HE's an dragon not an frikking bird wich he looks like in ff10.
yeah bahumat was still the badass as ever, my favourite summon till i got the sisters, but valefor was alround shit =/ i never had any fun with that guyEregion said:I think you misplaced bahamut with the first aeon Valefor, bahamut looks as sweet as he does in ever game (<3) while Valefor is the ridicolous birdie you mentioned.![]()

tris- said:i would say FF7 and tactics.
i only played tactics as a ROM on the PC though, still uber for a turn based game.
Didn't he say that he played it on the pc with an emulator? Or hmm, maybe you asked where he found that ROM, god I'm slow today.Thadius said:The psx version of tactics?
Where did you find that little nugget ?![]()
Maff said:but if you can wait and be happy to shell out for a PS3 then they are doing FF7 on there and the gfx look wonderfull for it.
Hansmoleman said:get, 6/7/8/9/10
but i would focus on 7/8 because imo they have the longest play times if you want to do most things![]()
not yet, im trying to get around to stat maxing, but it needs a lot of time from me, which atm i don't seem to have =/ but i will get around to stat maxing on 3 chars only then use themSpeedr said:I am not sure if you have, but have you tried to kill Penance on FFX ? damn near playing 160+ hours on my last save trying to stat max my characters and i doublt i'll be done before 200 hoursThat bloody mob has like 1 billion hp's and insane defence/offense

Hansmoleman said:edit: and i dont think i should even bother trying yet, i killed dark valefor but only just, it almost wiped the floor just got lucky that i won, however i then went to ixion and died straight away :'(
yeah but to do that succesfully it takes a lot of blitzball to get the ultimate weapon powered up fully and quite frankly i hate blitzball the matches are too long for meDantares said:From what I hear the easiest way to kill the Dark Aeons and Penance is to use Wakka with his Attack Reels. That to me though is like killing the WEAPONS in Final Fantasy 7 using the Slots Limit Break of Cait Sith.
Dantares said:Yeah, Blitzball kinda stinks. It's an interesting idea, but I am not that fond of it. Pretty good at it, but I still don't like it much.
It still means around 10 minutes of doing nothing whilst time runs out, and for me it seems the people after a while of spinning start going for youSharma said:Heh I used to find it fun.
Then I found a bug.
Basically, score 1 goal for your team, then when you get the ball, go sit behind your goal keeper, everyone else swims around in circles.

Try working your way up from IV and V which are on FF:Anthology, then get 6,7,8,9 X and X-2 , best one of all is 7 imo, best storyline is 7 or X and best combat system goes to X also.
UndyingAngel said:Finished FFX in 140hours total that Inc all teh Dark Aeons and the 2 solids bosses (Nemesis and Penance)
The best way to XP I found was in the monster Arena Killing Don Tombery,
What you need to Overdriver > AP, Set tow of your Characters to Comrade and one to Stoic, only have teh person with the Stoic overdriver fight, Make sure he died lots of times, and keep reviving himand u will get stupid amound of XP if you can get Triple AP on the same weapons or in another slot u are laughing, get about 30 to 40 slvl per kill
,
Speedr said:Don't get me wrong in saying i ain't started all that, i'm most of the way through it atm, i just need the patience to sit down for another so many hours to finish hehe. Everything else i've done in the game except penance, got all weapons etc sph lvl gaining weapons on all blah blah i also used the Don Tonberry trick, except that he hits my Tidus for 99999 each time so auto life works wonders, get 99 sph levels each time i fight it
Oh and the easier way to kill the Dark Aeons is to have Yojimbo do Zanmato on it![]()
