I've managed to scrap together the money to replace my old 17" CRT, which is now starting to fail. However my budget is £200 . Just need something I can play Battlefield 2 on and watch the occasional DVD.
I've looked around Dabs and even Amazon are doing some cheapish LCD monitors. Options I've found so far:
Acer 17" Acer AL1716S 12ms LCD TFT (DABS) £145
Samsung 19" SM913V Analogue LCD TFT Sliver. (DABS) £183
Samsung SM913NS, 19" Silver (AMAZON) £185
Acer AL1916ws 19" Widescreen TFT, 1440 x 900, 16.7M, 150°, 300 cd/m2, 500:1, 8ms, (AMAZON) £190 (But widescreen + gaming, would they mix well?)
What's your view on the above? If you had to pick one of the four, or are there another alternatives within the £200 price range?
My GFX card supports DVI, although prices seem to shoot up compared to the old analoge option. Is the performace difference worth the extra £££?
