My sister's looking at buying a new laptop and this is the one that's caught her eye: http://www.dell.com/uk/p/inspiron-17-7737/pd?oc=cn77306

She's a freelance web/graphic designer so she'll be running lots of things like Flash and Illustrator at the same time. Generally she'll be connecting it up to an external monitor//mouse/kb.

Does this seem like an all right spec for the price? Any alternatives people would recommend for around the same money?

Thanks in advance.

a mate has one of the new inspirons and he says it's the dogs'. He's maxed out everything though. I think he has 16GB ram. Tbh I'd find out what the max amount of ram is you can cram in the chassis and what it costs.

Mid range processor and not great on the ram is my initial gut feeling but I don't know laptops well enough to offer a better alternative.

Cheers guys, I haven't found anything better for the same price so I think I'm going to advise her to go for it.
