Heartache
Much like her brother and sister, Hannah Martin saw a lot of grief and loss early on in her life. In fact, it was Hannah that first noticed her Nan Helen had passed away, quietly sitting amongst her family.
Phil managed to cushion her from much of the trouble he had with marriage and divorce. As the baby of the family she may have got a little bit of special attention. Even so, she had great difficulty in accepting Ruth after Julie died. That must have been terribly hard for Philip.
Taking some time out
I think all these pressures may have had something to do with Hannah spending some time in France as an exchange student. It gave the family a bit of breathing space. The transformation in the young girl on her return from France was remarkable. No longer was she the protected baby daughter. No, she returned as quite the young woman of the world.
Where is she now?
I’m sure moving away to Darwin was the last thing she expected. And at first she treated it as though she was being permanently exiled. Of course Darwin is no longer the outpost it once was, now it’s quite the cosmopolitan little city, and I’m sure Hannah is finding her place in it.

Rebecca Ritters starred in Neighbours from June 1992 to November 1999. Rebecca was lucky enough to secure this role with her first professional audition.
Her interests outside the show included animal welfare and travel. She left Neighbours to concentrate on her high school studies, but found time to make a guest appearance in the Aussie drama series Blue Heelers.
Rebecca spent some time in the UK and appeared in Coronation Street as an Aussie backpacker called Jules Robinson - her screen mother's maiden name in Neighbours (a strange coincidence apparently. mmm!)

The worst thing is, I accidently hit the wrong Button and found out about the latest episode in Australia; Dee Bliss is going to die and Toadie is going to think it's all his fault!

There is a bright side to this; after Dee dies they'll have to get another babe to replace her....
