USA did help europe in WW2 and after it, but if they hadnt helped europe in WW2 they would have probably been captured by the japs or germans or communists a few years later or the only capatalistic country around. Also if they hadnt helped europe with money after WW2 than most of europe countries would have had communistic revolutions and that would mean that USA would be again in a worse position.
Yes the USA helped us, but mostly because it was also in their own best interest.
Pure BS , Lafayette4tw.

For those that post "snappy" one liners, please dont, you are the reason this off-topic forum was almost closed. If you want to post try creating a discussion rather than just having a dig at someone. Far better to say "I think USA/UK(Insert country) has made a mistake because of reasons xxxx" then posting "USA sux it was about oil" for example

This isn't even your thread nubulus :p

I hope Kerry wins, what do you guys think?

No long messages, either a straight answer or a small summary why you think the one you vote for should win.

You anti american people really need to take your heads out of your arses and stop listening to the spinless c**** in brussels.
cut the irrationality
US had no reason to invade iraq except for oil and mayb a very infantile and unthoughtfull way to try to stabilize the middle east situation, if it was to get rid of sadam put a bullet tru his head and with some special ops team whatever
i find it morally incorrect that bush created this situation in iraq and is asking for other countrys to send troops while all of the economic benefits go directly to US compagnys (reconstruction n exploitation)

takes more spine to say no and try to solve a problem diplomatically then using brute force. brute force always backfires right intoo your own face

except we were getting nowhere with diplomatics after 13 years.

and if the USA hadnt helped in WW2 than either europe would have defeated Hitler on their own with a strong communistic Russia and a poor europe (which is usually moment when people will have extreme political opinions so communists getting to power in whole of europe would then be a possibility) or Hitler would have atleast have a hold on europe, which probably wouldnt be any better for the USA.

And off course a few americans would have helped/did help europe when their goverment didnt (yet). However without material support and a real big amount of extra troops main land Europe wouldnt have been free/Britain might have been lost in the end.
And if the USA (meaning the majority of the inhabitants/the goverment) would have helped europe even if they wouldnt gain anything out of it, then wouldnt they have helped in 1939 and not in 1942 AFTER the japs and the germans had declared war on them? Btw I am not saying the USA was evil for doing this, any logical country wouldnt go to war unless in some way they would benefit from it(either indirectly or directly). Just saying the USA didnt just do it out of charity.
