its been said as not bug abuse as long as the pets aren't parked in walls. Much like how it was for enchanter pets and spiritmaster pets at keep defence. All get a nerf but whos had this as an advantage the longest? ;)

Next patch, both necro and pet need los to cast on you. Gotta love that. Downside is that mincers and sorcs get some loving. Actually, that might be interesting:)

Well, seeing as the Spiritmaster pet has NO ranged attack, I cant see the issue with that really, no different to the Cabalist pet or the Theurg pets.

Enchanter pets have always been a bit of a pain, but you rarely end up with more than one on you at a time and they actually have to be attacking the target to nuke, not standing in a corner on passive. Get an enchanter pet on you during keep fights and you can simply pull it into sight where a tank can proceed to kill it.

Necros are a completely different problem though. The player can just park the pet on passive somewhere out of sight in the keep and stand in plain view on the wall or even outside at the gate! The only option you have is to try to run out of range when one targets you, during keep attacks this is possible, but in keep defence there is almost nowhere in the entire keep is out of range for a necro pet parked next to the outer wall. Someone suggested sending stealthers to kill the pet, but this requires 2+ SBs/NSs willing to suicide in order to remove 1 necro from play for 5 mins, it just isnt going to happen most of the time.

Only someone truely retarded can think that an enchanter pet is as problematic as a necro pet at the moment. Anyway, roll on 1.60 and then Ill be surprised to see as many necros in RvR.

it's Mythic, not mystic... you see this logo every time you log on...is it really that hard?

Well at least you didnt say GOA...

Anyway i hope 1.60 takes a long time just to piss all the LOS whiners off...

Cos albs have had to live with LOS issues a long time... finally payback has arrived. :)

Go necro's!!!

a) Dont get theurg pets mixed up in this. They are not permanent pets - max lifetime is 30 sec. Besides that, they have the worst pathfinding I have ever seen and they do NOT walk directly through walls to get you - instead they run around mindlessly avoiding the wall for 15 sec - then proceed to run through the wall an entirely different place.

b) You have never played an enchanter have you? On PvP I regularly killed reds and purples 1 on 1 - ONLY because of the snaring pet.

c) As for the non-nuking SM and Caba pets, they are not as big a prob as the nuking ones. However, try and play an archer and you will discover just how much of an asset it is to have an auto-see-through-stealth mechanism at your side.

You could also just use GTAE which you apparently have in abundance.

Well - knowing from the SM, that eventhough you place pet on stay and then tell it to attack something - it will run to the target.
Dunno if it is this way with chanter pets.

Same happens to Sorc pets, even those that can cast.
But basically, mages with casting pets can do the same, it just takes more work. Set pet on stay, cast, call it off from attacking when the person runs away.

Very annoying when I get a casting pet, and it runs through the wall with my sorc. I would also like the option to stick the pet to a tank or something, so people do not figure out I'm a sorc right away.

something which annoys me is that a pet (chanter druid etc) still gets pbt from a group even if he is 1/2 a zone away

Erm, pbt is range limited, and i was not aware that pets benefited from group pbt ;)

Well then you might have to learn how to play your character. As said from many minstrels the new tweeks really do "overpower" them. Learn from someone who know how to play. And stop whining.
