for your info the bull in that video ended hanged by throat, they didn't want to shoot it while people close to it, so they managed to put a rope around bull somehow, i guess u can check that on web.

Half of people in Spain are against bullfighting, killing animal or making it suffer, recently has been approved to forbide bullfighting in Catalunya (Barcelona etc etc)

It is also forbidden in the Canary Islands, actually also many traditions in Spain where animals suffered tortures or similar has been abolished (e.g. throwing a goat from top of a church bells place).

Bullfightings have lot of tradition and arts around it, it's been demonstrated that Spanish Bull race (this particular type) for this events would have been extintcted if they didn't use them on these things, having them on a farm only for growing up, get cows pregnant and use their meat is not profitable, and they normally use other kind of bull to get cows pregnant, in the other hand they could just had preserved it ona natural protected area, like Doñana's Park or similar, anyways don't think every spanish is retarded because half of them loves this culture, for me, i like the culture, i don't like the blood part, they could just run off from the bulls or use the "capote" (cloak) to deal with it, but not the sword, no thanks.

in that case was "rejoneo" which only consists in dodge the bull (specialists do) but also in bullfightings bull had jump into people other times

i just extended my exposition about bullfightings due to people arguments and tittle of this thread (in this case the only suffering supposed for the animal is trying to catch the guys called "rejoneadores")
