Arrrrse!!

I accidently cooked my motherboard and I need to replace it. The motherboard in question was an Elite K7VZA w/ 1.3ghz Athlon processor (thunderbird, I think) and 600-odd MB SDRAM. I would really rather not replace ALL of the components because, as far as I can tell, everything else works fine. The trouble is that I cannot find anyone that sells K7VZA motherboards (apart from one company that thinks they are worth more than the latest motherboards). Does anyone know of any companies in the UK that could provide a cheap alternative?

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Used to have a K7VZA in my machine before I upgraded. Does your's have anything onboard like LAN, sound, graphics etc?
If not you could probably replace it with any lowend socket A mobo.
Try Aria or Dabs for alternatives, to be honest you're not likely to find it still in production as the processors it's designed for aren't made anymore either.

You could also check your local stores (not high street)

Thanks for the info guys. :)

I just remembered that I need a new hd/d as well so fudge it...I'll just splash some cash. ;)

It will save me the hassle of upgrading again later on.

Cheers. :D
