Not sure what connection my friend is on, but he used p2p a lot, had an email from his ISP saying he must stop using P2P applications or they will report him to the music industry or something similair.
He kept going over his download limit so they investigated into his usage.
Theyve (rightfully) been getting a right battering from various tech websites. If you look at Phorms shareprice you can see when it all kicked off because their share value dropped like a stone HAH
Whats even worse is last year loads of BT customers had problems with their internet connections and what looked to be a virus (and was even confirmed to a few people who rang BT customer support) but BT have now admitted they used 16,000 of their customers in a trial of the Phorm software (so installed cookies etc on their pc's) WITHOUT their consent......how creepy is that?
It's just insane, how can people not see that this is just the same as your phone company selling access to your phone calls to a third party....
Its like BT selling your name and phone number to call centres. Worse is, they will look at ALL you browsing history and send you e-mails or sell the info on to companies and call centres. You think your spam filter is having a hard time now? With Phorm, you'd be adding addresses daily.
If they want to sell my browsing history, thats fine. They can reduce the cost of my connection by 80%, kiss he royal ring, and suck my knob whilst their at it.
