Bronson (2009)

Watched this last night and it was simply mental. The performance by Tom Hardy was about the best performance I have seen by a British actor for many years. The film was brilliant, I couldn't take my eyes off it, brilliant and different.

It was described as a cross between Chopper and Clockwork Orange and I thought that was spot on.

Tom Hardy is my favourite actor. I've went on play and bought every one of this films, just so I can see the path of his career. Really looking forward to Bronson.

I had never really heard of him before, but jesus he is so good, I mean simply amazing.

I will find more of his films now thats for sure.

Bronson was strangely funny in places as well.

Aye Tom Hardy is good. I've seen him in a lot of stuff, right back to Star Trek Nemesis and his delivery of the line "I was lonely" still cracks me up.

I'll keep an eye out for this one :)

Gutted. Really really poor imo. I was expecting big things from this movie, it trys way to hard.

A Plagiarism cocktail of poop not fit to lace Mark Read's boots. :/

It's a strange film. There's very little point to it and it doesn't even attempt to explain him, nor is there any side the film takes.

That said it is a great performance. The film can probably be described as A Portrait of a Man as Beast rather than a biopic in the traditional sense.

The thing is they have covered everything really (if you read about Bronson on Wiki). I know what you mean, how did he end up being so mental, what triggered it etc. But maybe there is no reason for it.
