Help Broken TV

Anyone interested in buying a 42" 1080p sony LCD TV for £100? The volume controls are completely knackered but at that price you can't turn it down.

Can you not run it through an amp? then you dont need the spekers on the tv

I suspect you know this, and if so I apologise but on Sony HDTV's (or at least mine and my parents) the volume controls do not operate when the tv is in audio system mode. So if your not using "Tv speaker" mode (or have by accident changed the speaker setting) your volume controls won't function.

Either way is it really worth getting rid of the tv when you could just use an amp or speaker set...

That is crazy, trying to get rid of a 42" 1080p screen because of a volume problem. Get yourself a nice surround sound system with amp and you can carry on using your screen without any hassles.
