I think my monitor is broken :(

Whenever I move something across the screen I get a kind of tearing effect.

I can't take a screenshot but heres a reconstruction of what happens when I move a window to the left:

The faster i move the window the further apart the 2 halfs are.

This only happens at a certain height on the screen but the height at which the line appears moves around slowly. I can't get a screenshot so I assume it's a problem with the monitor itself.

It seems to happen at every resolution and refresh rate although it's more noticable at higher resolutions and lower refresh rates.

The monitor is a Iiyama vision master 1451 and according to their site all their monitors have a 3 year warranty. I got it about 2 years ago so i'm well within warranty. Should I just get it replaced or is it possible to fix it?

sounds like a Multi scan monitor...as i can't see the picture.

Afaik mutli scan, one 'gun' draws one half of the screen and another 'gun' draws the other half.

If one gun goes out of whack or slightly faulty, the slower it'll refresh causing the two halves to seperate like you've described.
