Broken Camera

Stupid me, I've only had my Cannon Ixus 60 a month or so, and already it's broke. I had it in my pocket at football at the weekend, and it got crushed in between 2 plastic seats. The camera functionality still seems to work fine, but the lcd is cracked and unworkable.

Anyone know whether its worth attempting to get this fixed by Cannon, or will it cost as much as a new one?

It is still under warranty, but I guess damage such as this isn't covered.

did you know it's illegal to take a camera into a football ground?

FA RULES.

Will be tough to get it fixed by Cannon, since they are called Canon.. sorry couldn't resist..

Probably cost a large percentage of the original hardware value.

Check your household contents insurance policy.

Don't attempt to open it, it will be like a miniature civilisation in there.
