With all these stabbings in London (yes another one on the news today) i think its time to get harsh on criminals. Simple poll, yes / no / other deterint to stopcapital punishment. Discuss

Make prisons work camps not holiday homes, shite food and only enough to be legal. And get them up at 6am and move a mountian or earth from one spot to another then back. Will be too tiered to cause trouble and when people get out they will not want to go back.

Where as now you have a poor guy by going to prison he get warm bed 3 meals tv games machines prison is not scary.

Personally i think the best way to deal with crimes is by runnign a lottery and every 100th person who breaks any kind of law gets a bullet between the eyes, that will learn em.

Prison over here at the moment is not something that scares people its like a badge of honour you meet up with other scumbags and say "i just served 4 years for stabbing some mug" and all the other little chavs think your great. So changing the punishment here would make a difference. Our legal system is a joke our police force are too scared to police and when they do they have so much paper work they wish they had not. Then you get weak judges who say prison is overcrowded so ill let you go but behave ok? We are in a shit state. Thats just how i see it.

Capital punishment I'm not sure about, but for god sake lower the standards of prison, when I hear about the prison food being higher quality than the school food it's just beyond stupid. And then you see images and documentary's about the prison life, and it's like a god damned social club. Hell, they probably have it 10 times better than low income people does because they don't have to worry about roof over their heads or food on the table.

The issue with capital punishment is if you got a inocent man killed, there is no way to undo that. Judicial system is not perfect, far from it, and having the possibility to have inoncent people killed cause of a judicial error is not acceptable. So no to capital punishement.

The issue with capital punishment is if you got a inocent man killed, there is no way to undo that. Judicial system is not perfect, far from it, and having the possibility to have inoncent people killed cause of a judicial error is not acceptable. So no to capital punishement.

Though i understand the argument that innocent people get killed in systems that have capital punishment, i dont agree that it should stay banned. If the threat of getting hung /electrocuted /shot /injected stops people from commiting murder then you could argue that it saves innocent lives and is therefore equally as valid as your argument.

So true! When you go to prison you should get the following benefits:

1. Your own toilet (plastic bucket)
2. Your own mattress (straw mat)
3. Your own view (2 ft window)
4. Your own gym facilities (2hrs in an outside cage, 20ft sq)
5. Your own entertainment each evening (wanking to a blank wall)
6. Your own job (working for fuckall making stuff for society)

We really are too fucking soft and it annoys me. Fuck their rights, they didn't give a shit about other people's rights when they committed the crime. Visit Thailand, they have it right.
