Lo, all
I use the pillar on the bridge trick all the time. I get about 40% of my kills up there. So am I doin wrong? Im letting all the people that i have killed get the chance to kill me tonight. I will be on the pillar at 8.00pm tonight so u now no im there, so its not really cheating. Ne way please please please, more people go to the other bg's.

If your using normal jumping, and not screenshot-jumping, I'd say it's perfectly alright. You might lack the thrill of a challange but that up to you :)

Any SB/NS would be able to spot you up there and quickly get rid of you if enemy groups only had some with them. you take out their casters, SBs/NS's take you out and so on ... thats the way it should be (casters could ofcourse use PBAE to detect you aswell).

Linkdead, i would like to apologise to you for thinking that you ss jumped onto the bridge pillar, we all thought you did untill the ranger in question figured how to jump up there, serves us right for not experimenting more :)

Happy hunting :)

Not certain but I think the difference in the vertical axis might make it impossible to hit someone with a PBAE from the ground level - anyone know if this is true?

Gah, don't start this whole fecking discussion again, let sleeping dogs sleep!!

It's perfectly legal, now delete the thread before that moronic Aurilius pops up again (who is btw the only person using the ss jump to get on there.)

Apologies to Linkdead

Sorry Dude, I had the impression that you were a bit of a muppet, but considering this post is either

a) Geniune
b) A rather good wind-up

I'd say I was wrong. Good hunting.

Now if you'd only travel round in groups of less than forty Stealthers we'd all be happy :D

Think PBAOE works vertical aswell - tonked a few mids coming up the stairs once :)

PBAE works in a sphere, so that includes vertical as well.
I'd just like to add - fear 1.52 and the coming of GTAE ;)

Yup - I just wondered if the top of the pillar might not be in range of a PBAOE'r - but it sounds like it is :)

GTAE = Ground target AE; just like PBAE = Point Blank AE

GTAE will let you choose a groundtarget (default F5) and when you use your AE-spell the center-point will be that groundtarget - you'll see it in coming patch.

GTAE is a new spell, though in principle it works as a catapult.

Not a lot of damage in it mind you :)
I think all realm bolters get it, so Void Eld, Fire Wizzies and RC runies.
