I find alot of what Clarkson does quite funny, generally I dont dislike the guy from what you see on TV. That said, mostly his newspaper articles come over as very pompous, as marc said, and in this case he's just shown himself to be writing things for the controversy they will cause rather than because its actually true.

Perhaps the most amusing thing is he was actually right in the first place.

Everytime you hand someone a check they get all the information he actually disclosed. The fact he got scammed had far more to do with him "putting himself out there" than for any details he released.
