Some fearsome death spam tonight as high level Albs and Mids clashed in Darkness Falls. My little cabalist was ready to root and run at the sight of you naughty Mids.

Then - relief! For the fearsome Glauthrong had been laid low by a level 40 mercenary A couple of hours later (and some keep retakes with Turamber) the same thing again ... 'cept this time Glauthrong met a level 42 friar in god-mode

First time we were a group of 4 that took down a group of 9. You caught 2 of us AFK (our fault, hey, I was hungry. ) and deserved the RP.

What you missed was that in the time we were there, we got our vengeance on your group shortly afterwards and proceeded to take out bigger groups. At the end, there were 3 of us (Wendela had LD'd and others had logged) that took on 10 or so of you. In that, I still killed a yellow con mage because you all failed to stop me getting to her.

Was fun, and we'll be back. Check with some of your Albs. We kill the mobs too/first. XP deaths are stupid, we get nothing out of it. Of course, in the middle zone, that's simply not possible, and we use that to our advantage that you're fighting. But solo people that are XPing/farming? No, we do our best to NOT give them an XP death.

I'm glad you enjoy it, we don't like to go there in a large group, because it is then a challenge and takes skill/tactics to defeat larger groups, something that is lost on the masses (erm ZERG) of Emain.

And what's so amazing about beating a L50 warrior? Hasn't everyone done that yet? It's like part of every Alb/Hib L40-50 Epic.

No, Turamber has never defeated a level 50 warrior or a level 50 skald. I did message the green con merc to ask him for some tips though

You never defeated a lvl 50 skald ?!
Even Andrilyn (when lvl 50 cleric) beat Glibbin (or something like that) solo, was a nice fight but those guys dont really hit hard
Btw what is up with skalds not wanting to solo a yellow con, met a lvl 50 skald 2 times solo all what they do is mez and backup and look for backup, I was a cleric ffs surely a half tank could beat a lonely cleric...

A yellow con cleric?

By rank 5 level 6, I have now won 4 solo fights against yellow con clerics. Cant count the times Ive attacked a cleric by mistake and died.

Only chance a skald has against those is if the cleric makes a mistake. Then again, the pbaoe mez, stun and chain smites until dead routine is something clerics don’t tend to mess up with. It is simply no sense to attack a cleric solo when you don’t have purge or your purge is not up.

Given loads of time, I think I would rather go solo a hib moose with skald than I would cleric.

Aye, soloing warrior and skald (not at once ofcause ) is a part of infi epic. You get it somewhere between ravenclan giant and ellyl lord.

Ho hum.. You obviously haven't read the patch notes or talked to anyone who plays a cleric now.. pbaoe mez is on a 5 min timer now, and smite damage is kinda nerfed now. Most of the smite clerics respecced out to become buffbots/healers.
Having said that, I can still solo something once every half an hour

ah, was this in DF a few days ago when about 4 mids where heading up toward the alb merchants? that 42 friar in god mode was the cheeky (but loveable) Garnette. there was a few guys from our group in that fight as they moved early, so the rest of us headed down as they looked to be taking a beating. theres we see a small group of GK's and a couple of our group fighting the mids... so we helped, as you do, and Garnette snuck in and kicked his ass

1 mid went LD and ghosted up towards you all. The remaining 3 of us faced at least 1 FG. Yeah, that's owned that is...

you almost sound upset, do you think that one person going LD made the difference in that fight?

Not as funny as one time I saw 5 mids heading up towards the entrance, they started to chase me, I ran back a bit then 40 level 50s came thundering round the corner and wiped them in a couple of seconds... Poor mids ran into our guild legion raid force.

lol, ive done that myself actually. i was in a small group of templars exping when we decided to head to the mid merchants, never know, there might be a couple there, half way there and "the forces of midgard have captured...". we thought screw it, its getting late, there wont be man....y..... down comes about 4 fg, wipe out. was a good laugh though as we did manage to kill 2 or 3 before the big force came round the corner

Happened to a group of Albs last night... I was XPing in DF with my 'chanter and saw 2/3 DMs of people around my level, ran to the bottom of the slope and saw the Albs heading our way. Sent my pet to distract them and ran up the hill:

/yell ALBS!!!!!

to the 40+ Hibs gatherring for a DF raid... mwhahahahahaaa

Albs didn't get a chance to run...
