If clockwise, then you use more of the right side of the brain and vice versa. Most of us would see the dancer turning anti-clockwise though you can try to focus and change the direction; see if you can do it.

LEFT BRAIN FUNCTIONS
uses logic
detail oriented
facts rule
words and language
present and past
math and science
can comprehend
knowing
acknowledges
order/pattern perception
knows object name
reality based
forms strategies
practical
safe

RIGHT BRAIN FUNCTIONS
uses feeling
"big picture" oriented
imagination rules
symbols and images
present and future
philosophy & religion
can "get it" (i.e. meaning)
believes
appreciates
spatial perception
knows object function
fantasy based
presents possibilities
impetuous
risk taking

For me I can only see her move clockwise, read some posts from where I found this and other people only see anti-clockwise (weird huh)

But I'd always known my imagination > logic :)

I say clockwise, I also say it's horse shit.

Your eye sight probably has more influence over which way you see it rotate than your brain function especially given the fact that you can make it go the other way by "re-focusing" on it.

it's an optical illusion :p it's not "clockwise deffo" or "anti-clockwise deffo".

Cover the top of the girl with your hand so that only her foot can be seen, then start trying to visualise her foot spinning the other way (takes a second to get your head round it). I can alternate whether i see her spinning clockwise or anticlockwise like that, so it's obviously rubbish about only being able to see one.

Nikon, doing what you said (atleast with the foot) I can alternate aswell, just need to concentrate. Clockwise otherwise.

I tried, but it's absolutely impossible for me :(

HAHA!

I can make her spin what ever way I want her to! :D

I just focus on the foot of the leg she is stretching out in the air.. You can actually make her go from side to side without taking a full spin!* :D

*upperbody lookes a bit wierd tho

counter - short look away and - clockwise... now i cant turn it back into counter :(

btw - she has nipples!

also!

ive seen this very interesting documentary about people having great seizure problems where they cut some nerveendings that connects right center with left center. that created a person who couldnt use the parts combined (i.e. eyesight with the coordination of the hand to draw what he sees. he saw a word (orange) and he saw a picture (bird) he had to draw what the picture was and he drew and orange without knowing why)

baah! trying this and it refuse to change direction...

but then again, those 3D images you stare are also just bogus, and a conspiracy to drive me insane, I would only guess that this is another of those conspiracies!

What nikon said!

This is what I posted in the other thread in general:

I was just about to say clockwise only but I've figured out how to make it go both ways.

Its just down to perception. To make it go clockwise, all I had to do was concentrate on one feature of the rotation (eg. the left foot in this case) and keep thinking "now its closer" when its pointing 'downwards' and "now its further away" when its pointed 'upwards'.

To get her to appear to spin anticlockwise, I just did the reverse; kept thinking its "further" when it was pointed 'downwards' and "closer" when it was pointed 'upwards'.

There is no spoon you see!
