I like beer myself, simply because I think lager has very little flavour. Though there are some decent lagers about, just not the chemical rubbish like fosters, carlsberg etc

He didn't mean it's pretentious to drink either, but a lot of the ale drinkers on the forum get up on such a high horse about their 'superior' drink, with like, super flavour etc etc.

Eww fucking hell, Red Stripe is tramp fuel and tastes vile. Budvar is ok when ice cold but anything less and the aftertaste is a bit odd.

Peroni is the worst at the minute, every body is fucking drinking it, just because of the label.... Just because it has that "expensive" aura to it people think that they are somehow drinking a superior beverage. Where I work bottles are 2.95 each, someone was actually stupid enough to ask for a pint glass and two bottles and pour them into the glass. Why pay 5.90 for a pint when Kronenburg is 3.25... Idiot.

Peroni is rotten most of the time, the green bottles allow too much light in and it gives the beer a very stale taste. Unless it has been kept in the case and then chilled in a fridge I cannot drink it anymore.

Peroni? Yeah you can get it for about £1 a bottle in most shops here. The green bottle lets in too much light though and you end up with a really 'skunky' aftertaste. Not a pleasant drink at all unless you get one from a just opened case of 20 and chill it until ice cold, even then it wouldn't rate above average for me.

The Samuel Smith's pure brewed lager is a little better, dirt cheap as well if you goto a Samuel Smith's pub. I paid £1.66 a pint earlier this afternoon and it was the best beer I have had all year. Nice little pub too, no music or knobheads.

I only live a mile from the Robinson's brewery as well, those boys know how to brew a killer pint! They recently won 4 World Beer Awards including the 'Worlds best beer' award at the WBA09 award show for thier Old Tom brew, lush stuff.

Theres a nice little Sam Smith pub just off Oxford Street, right in the back roads, The Champion. My friends and i go there all the time, mostly because its called The Champion

King's usual go for 5kr, which is roughly 50p
