I like Boris because he's human, not some robot going round talking in Prime Minister mode which most people cant understand. Also I like the fact he seems "one of us". If I see him talking about something, I actually want to listen to what he has to say.

I voted Ken. Boris has caused us no end of troubles since he came in, Ken done so much for London behind the scenes, he fell out of favour purely because of the congestion charge. For example Ken was the one that brought the overground into the TfL umbrella making it cheaper for many many people.

Ken also gave the bus industry a huge boost. Say what you want about london transport (which i personally think is fantastic) but he managed to get the companies to run buses every 2-5 mins central and 7-8 off peak. I think thats a great thing for london

I think he gets more stick than what he deserves. I've seen Moose mention him 'falling' into the water....he was in the water to start with! How is he falling lol (no offense mate, but using you to prove a point).
I admit I do the following, but most people on forums see a thread with a video/news story, read the thread starters comments and then post their opinion.

Tohtori is a perfect example of someone who actually clicks the link...reads it and then posts his opinion.

Boris may not be perfect, but if he seems like a genuinely nice guy trying to help, i'll let mistakes slide. If he makes them over and over then my view will change. I think people are far to quick to jump on the "OMG we have an idiot running london".

He may be mayor of london, but I bet there are things he wants to do which he simply cant because some person/group does not like it etc. It's a job I would not want.

I think the protest vote may lie with UKIP this time around, let's wait and see. I notice on my EU Ballot paper The Roman Party Ave! with a bloke called Jean-Louis Pascal on it whomever he is. Sounds like a Monster Raving Loony, I bet he has some crazy notions.....I was sooo tempted

I looked into the roman party thing earlier; it's ridiculous, he doesn't even have a website. I found this though:

All Military Personnel must be bought back to our Home Land because its not in the interest of this country to be Involved.


In the 2008 election for Reading council, he got 33 votes in Abbey ward (1.8 per cent of the total) and came a rather poor last, behind Labour, Conservatives, Liberal Democrats and the Green Party.

So clearly not a serious candidate...

I like the guy, think he's got a good head on his shoulders and the fact he fell into a river which he was already thigh deep in while helping collect rubbish and promoting charity work does him justice.
