Bootable USB Images

Anyone know anything about bootable USB images?

I would like to be able to boot into dos and run up a network ghost from my USB stick. Anyone know the best way about this? I'm being lazy here so feel free to tell me to fuck off

Sounds like a job for Very Small Linux or something similar. Got one on my 512mb memory stick which is very useful for fault diagnosis and the likes. Unfortunately im not advanced enough to go as far as networking with the things but no doubt someone else is

yep in no tux fan, but dsl/minilinux has its uses.

knoppix do a usb version, and since many usb sticks are quite large these days, you can just slap any old livecd on one (my fav livecd atm is gentoo).

I found this on Channel 9 (M$'s semi-uncensored coders forum) about getting XP onto a USB key or HDD (should you prefer it). It seems to be possible, if a little tricky...
