ive tried logitech and cant get the wheel workin in q3.
and the microsoft software for thier optical mice makes my pc crash and it takes me 7 or 8 times to get it started again, it just gets stuck on the hp screen on start up.
so a boomslang seems like my only option apart from the thing im usin at the mo

Don't install the intellimouse software, you don't need it (unless you like having dinosaurs/cats/etc as cursors).

Only way to get a Boomslang now is to order from their site. I just looked and its not under construction .
They are worth trying because if you do end up liking it then you will no doubt see an improvement. It took me 2-3 weeks to get used to it, this is the main problem with it but it was worth the wait.

Kez, the reason they aren't sold anywhere else is because the company nearly died but its back on track now. Gameplay were the only other place I knew of that sold them. Have you actually tried a Boomslang? For more than 3 weeks?

I have an MS Cordless mouse and its useless for Q3. I can't imagine any cordless being good for games tbh. Says in the instruction not to have it too close to certian things, like monitors and speakers, coz they could cause interference, isn't that just stupid?

Razer Boomslang 2000
Well I use a Boomslang 2000 and it's much more accurate..
Improved my accuracy with the railgun, but it took a while to get used to it, over 4 weeks.
As for buying one "razerzone" are revamping their online ordering system, but you can buy their mice via ebay or yahoo auctions!!..
I tried the Mickeysoft cordless mouse and wot a load of shite, absolutely no good for any online games where you need quick response time, this mouse enduces lag between the mouse and your system!!..
You'd be better off using a Logitech Dual Optical or a Mickeysoft Optical Explorer 3.0...Used the latter whilst awaiting delivery of my Bomslang 2000!!..
But it really comes down to your personal preference, you may find that you just cannot get on with the razer...plus as it's a ball mouse to keep it being accurate you need to clean the rollers after every cpl of hours playing...it picks up loads of crap!!..

way I see it is it picks up loads of crap coz its doing such a fuking good job .
Make sure you clean your mouse pad often too as thats where the crap is.

Honestly it takes a good 4 weeks + to get used to it!!..
I'm still not 100% ok with it, but it is still 10 x better than your regular mouse!!..
It's sweet!!..
