Bonedancers ???

I see many bonedancers leaving mtk solo. Why?

a) they offer nothing to group like sb?
b) people avoid inviting them to group because they are not used to bd and don't know what they can do
c) they are gimped

I'm not familiar bd, so some1 plz enlighten me
I hate to see them leaving solo, only to be ganked by stealthzerg or regular fg.
This is same thing as healer exping solo, something that I don't want to see happen.

Well if it seams that there is no groups with spots,
i usually go to hunt some stealthers, as supp spec they are mostly easy cheese.

Prolly thats the reason that so many boney goes out solo, cause they have fair change to get rp.

Its all about luck tho, best solo trip in emain at prime time gave me once like 25k rp. Sometimes i dont get anything, and run straight to some gank squad. Still, i can quite fairly say that ive killed more than got killed on solo runs. And thats the reason i do em rather than sit on tk.

A) Only supp specs have something to offer to group (other than damage dealing), and that is the melee absorb buff.
B) Yea, most dont know the capasity what boney can do.

I would have to say that the answer is b). We don't have that many lvl 50 BDs in midgård atm. Most of other players don't know anything about BDs, just the stuff they have read on threads and stuff. And with stuff i mean "nerf bd" and "they are only good solo, nothing else". It's really sad that people can't open their eyes and at least try see what a good BD really can offer to a grp in rvr.

I know why people don't want them in PvE grp, but that's a whole other story.

From my personal experiance (I'm 48 supp, so I can't tell you much about BA and Dark spec), this is what a bonedancer can do in RvR:

1) Solo - Well, nothing new here. You know the story if they are specced in Supp.
2) FG vs FG - One of the best and funniest char I've ever played in fg. Their nukes is not very impressive. Base DD got value 155 (lvl43 DD), while RM/SM have base DD at 179 (lvl50). This will get changed in patch 1.62, which I find very good . But base DD boosted with Lifedrain/Body debuff - DMG is very good.
And last but not least - Interupt masters (can keep 3 supporters/casters buissy at once).
3) ZERG - We'll, not much too say here. If you got a BD in a FG, and you meet the famous Alb zerg, there isn't really much you can do. But then again, noone can stop a zerg with only only a fg. And to you people that saying otherwise - BS!
(I define zerg as what it was before people started abusing the word. Zerg is 4fg+)

Then the last thing:
A BD can not take a FG solo. Maybe if you meet one FG of tanks, and manage too root 5-6 of them, then we might be able to take'em out if Raging power is up. But what are the odds to meet a fg with only tanks?

So the aoe focus is screwed atm ? I thought it hasnt working prolly damn mythic,I play a bd called kelan u may know her,bd are a good class and not as overpowered as ppl claim them to be,well i dont think.Getting better in rvr with ppl some bds able to keep 2-3 ppl busy in a fight if everyone knows what they doing lifetap is a damn good mezz stopper if u can get your target but i think its a pretty low damag.
considering the lev 47 requirement.

Btw what specs did u guys take, do u find supp/ba spec better than dark/supp spec cus i was seriously loseing dark for aoe dot but with lev 50 nuke next patch is it worth staying dark/supp ?

I'm 48supp/24dark rest BA. And I can say it works great. 48 supp for best healers. Not that big difference from the scnd best but they can take some more punches. Need at least 22 dark for debuff but I put 2 more points there since I use base nuke as backup for LT. with 24 dark+11+RR the nukes hurt pretty bad

Power drain is bad i think i just hope new 50 rune compenstate in damge/pow cost i did 48 supp 22dark 11ba but after patch i go dark as its really only way to kill in rvr a double dd+Lt nuke i think.

15% body-debuff, str/con buff for pets, snare+dd (great for runners, slows em down for bout 15 sec), and additional damage to baseline nuke are imo great reason to put the rest points to dark.

Well, iv saw Bananarplockaren(Sp?) and a sheild warrior take out a FG of hibs, was damn funny

I played ns on prydwen and found out there is no chance in hell you can kill BD solo.. then again i dunno what they have to offer in groups, seriously I havin't had the oppertunity to see much of them in groups.
