Bonedancers, wtf ??

Melee fight - lvl24 Armsman vs lvl24 Bonedancer

Bonedancer wins by a mile.

Anyone else thinks this is fucked up beyond belief?

Ayone else care to give me a reason to carry on playing my Armsman?

And yes I was owned, but shouldn't tank classes beat casters in pure melee?

unless u hace spec wrong or u are not using the right styles ?

Or maybe they have fecked up and u are the same as heros vs champs in hiberian
champion = hp to heros unless hero is buffed to hell
champion does more damage
champion has spells
hero has stag even 30 mins

Champion > Hero

Albs always look better then middies, shees, If daoc was RL, and oy could choose between a trol or an avalonion female, then the choise would be VERY easy.

Bonedancers - depending on spec arent strictly a pure caster, they are a pet class and there is a difference in my opinion. I would suggest unless your damage is frontloaded such as an assasin, or purely large 2handed weapon spec, or bolt caster, that trying to take on a BD'er that has his own personal healer and another friend or two isnt an appropriate tactic for success.

Bonedancers arent the usual RP cow caster all melee classes are used to. They do however still get killed quite easily if you figure out the appropriate technique as opposed to the traditional ignore the pets and start bashing the caster with your weapon.

Have to say I have had an enjoyable evening learning about some of the new classes strengths and weaknesses as well as some apparent exploits available to them. Some of which I know mythic have dealt with. Having said that, the experiences of the BG's isnt really going to tell me much about the endgame and level 50 rvr. I look forward to more personal deaths and victories.

From my reading of the VN Boards and other DAOC discussion boards it appears all of the SI classes eat melee classes alive ... but are cannon fodder for pure casters, with the exception of the necromancer which everyone seems to agree is bugged to hell and overpowered all at the same time.

Think its generally agreed that in BG Bonedancers are as powerful as they get as well, with those healing pets 1v1 it appears there pretty unstoppable.

There is no 1 on 1 if you meet a Bonedancer there i 1 on 3, you against a caster, tank and a healer if the BD is supp.

1 vs 5 actually

lvl 45+ supp BD has himself + 1 commander + 3 healing pets

i cant beat a BD 1 vs 1 thats with my insane attack speed.. only way i can beat is if they let me use my stun style which kinda defeats the object of the challange

Your class cant kill 1 other class in the game and you decide to stop playing it.

Try lvling a scout or hunter to lvl 50 when you have to be very selective as to which classes you attack.

An armsmen just like a warrior or a Hero can be effective in certain situations and less effective in others.

Just because you can't Own a caster, who isnt really a pure caster as has already been said ( I mean just lvling i act as a tank to anything up to orange con)

Go roll an Infil like al lthe other whiners ... pfffft

gotta agree, just because u can't kill a class doesn't mean u have to reroll, but if u feel u can't play the game without easily beating any class into a pulp with no skill needed, just get a buffbot and roll an inf. its hours of fun attacking things with a small chance of losing!

I agree that I will be more effective in certain situations and less in others but you and Cher have totally missed the point I was trying to make. I was 110% inneffective in what was an ideal situation for me, i.e. I got the jump on my oponent, taking him by surprise, yet was totally and utterly destroyed with apparent ease.

I don't really care about winning at the end of the day, if I did I would have created an Infiltrator as you say, but I doubt I'm the only person who's experienced a moment with their character that makes them question just what on earth is going on.

Welcome to the world of a pre SI Mid caster...

With every tank and stealther around with IP you tend to end up eating the dirt in about 2 secs of every fight starting. It does make you wonder wtf you were thinking when you rolled up a mystic in the first place.

However.. I love my SM to bits. I don't really play any other class and I probably never will. Chill out and have a beer matey, just area mezz the feckers and gank the caster. That's how people deal with casters of all kinds these days!

Well bonedancers aren't anywhere nr as bad as trying to take a keep with an anamist pamming turrets out of the keep .... ouch they hurt

Tell you what nerf everyone .... just allow everyone to go into RvR with a bronze training shield and sword and we can all hack away at each other

one thing, whilst scouts hunters etc have to be more selective about their targets, an armsman doesn't really have that luxury, they have no stealth to avoid being seen until a choice target comes along. Anything and everything can easily spot them and attack them, whether the armsman chose that target or not..

Use 2h BD's are owned by procs/spells and 2h weapons cuz they cant keep up the dmg u do.. also get some resist against their lifedrain DD and they will be useless.

And about the hero/champion stuff, champions cant slam, you forgot to mention that, and champions cant kill a berserker.. a hero can if u play him right, ask Tankster Girl

I did, I leeched xp all the way aswell, deleted at same lvl u r now, and the most underated RvR class in my opinion, more than useful, now stupidly usefull, BUT good luck climbing those walls with crappy stealth, promise to PA you.

champs can't slam? erm.. wrong!
