Bonedancers ... is it actually possible to kill them solo ?

ROFL that instant lifedrain is a joke ...

Has any1 actually managed to solo one ?

MMG just now, RR 2 BD in a grp of mids, his Skeletal comander dies and he retreats to the battlements, i climb the stairs and im immediatly hit by a nuke followed by a lifedrain, slam deflected by BT and then another lifedrain before i manage to slam, 3 backslash's later its on 1/99 health and it turns arounds and .. Lifedrain, 50% again ... Lifedrain .. 100%. Now being on like 10% health and Tattersail healing me and the rest of the grp non-stop. I jump down off the battlements and find myself mezzed by a hib zerg... \o/ But that kinda slips of the point.

HTF do u kill them ? Without using 50 odd instant heals ?

You'd have to wait for 2 hours before he actually made a dent in your HP.. then 2 hours more for him to get you to half HP. Best off finding an Inf to do the job.

The Lifedrain is on the body resist table, so use your Body Shield chant, cross your fingers and hit him as hard as you can frequently

Slam is always your friend, as is not /sticking, but moving thru him as you hit ... then he will need to /face before draining you.

BDs are possible to kill, you just have to think different while killing them...anyways that is what our GM always say.

What to do against a BD with pets, hit the BD and take the fend, SLAM him, then start whacking that commander, when BD comes out give him an aggro chant a keep killing the pet.

And a BD without a commander shouldnt be a problem

And Lucias, damn you used some time killing my runie in Sauvage earlier today

OK we all know Paladins have a gimped damage output... Infact pretty gimped in most respects...

But the ability to Twist and heal myself for 90 every 8 seconds, means that i can take down every class in Albion ( even if it takes a while ) with the exception of SOME Merc (i.e Sycho, Tasos ) and MOST Friars, as every Paladin who has dueled one knows.

Oh and Parry + Blocking, and Twisting and Two instant heals means that i have a good go at every class in the game...But who gives ? This post is about how Ub4R Bonedancers are, not how gimped Paladins are

Pfft, running back from excal and some kobbie nukes me. I thought to myself hmm, can i be arsed to turn around and kill ?
Nah. So i carried on sprinting, then u rooted me, debuffed and nuked for like 600 !

Anyway i released, came and found you .. The reason i was hitting for 90-12 was ofc, because i was rez sick Hence when i purged the root, the second time, i started hitting for 200 again

As you said he was in a group of mids - and probably was recieving outside healing, a BD without pets is a dead BD.

Lifedrain cannot keep up with any tank/hybrid without the pets, it takes the combination of the 2. The whole fight with BDs is about neutralising the pets. You said your self it wasnt a solo fight.

It wasnt recieving healing .. But i was on the battlements attacking it solo ..

It nearly owned me using an instant spell on a stupid timer, and i'll admitt it.

A mentalist with Severing the Tether can kill all the healers and turn the commander pet on the Bonedancer in one insta.

Then just stun the BD and proceed to nuke him to ickle pieces. For other classes they do pose a much more complex problem though.

Would a 3 sec castable tap be better with that RA that makes you cast for XX sec uninterrupted?

What sucks about Bonedancer pets is you can't use Confuse on any of them.

Its as lame as IP ignoring disease, way to ruin a classes abilities

BDs are a group on their own, so you honestly think you're supposed to be soloing that? Would you complain like this if you weren't able to take out a caster, a blue con tank, two green con mend healers and a grey con mend healer?

and next patch pets cant be mezzed...

People will not attack solo BD's? BD cant never ever kill 4 tanks on same time

i only know that 2 buffed infis rr7 and rr8 could not melee down a bd (without pa)

I did have BD wit hmyself and trust me,one tank can go but 4 never. You need to use tactic PA healer pet's and they should die by it,then kill last one and head for BD.That lifetap not exatly power friendly either

So Mid (the melee realm) gets a tanking mage. What's there to cry about? Yes, might be hard to solo, but 2-3 people with a wee bit of tactic should not have any large problem taking out a bd.

And the mezzing thing only applies to theurgists. That's right, of your own realm.. What's there to cry about?

I couldn't give a toss about BDs either way, but Midgard being the melee realm has nothing to do with a BD being overpowered. (If they are).

i so hate BDs.. yesterday lured a BD into tons of agroo in df (camlann) ffs at the end he was tanking like 10 blue-orange mobs and killing me with that stoopid 4sec lifedrain ( NERF bat needed here ) then killed the mobs out of boredom..
