What does this spell do?

Focus Single Target Snare Type: Body Range: 1500
Lv. Spell Name: Value Cast Cost Targ. PulsePow. Lasts
14 Shroud of Doubt 50% 3 sec. 9P Enemy 5P 5 sec.

It slows down my opponent but what else? I already have a root spell so I guess this does something more? It stands something about pulsepow, what is it? Glad if someone could enlighten me

Later on in the spelline you get the ability to area-root mobs.

Hmmm....I really dont see a use for this spell. Maybe I am just stupid but why dont cast a ordinary root spell then? I can see the use of an area spell of this type but not a single one, especially since it is only for a 50% reduction.

Do any other see a use for the spell?

its a focus spell so its cancelled if u r hit.

i think the idea is u use this spell and set ur pets on it this way u dont get damage and pets can kill it while it moves very slowly towards u, though a bonedancer can last melee so really i think its more of a rvr spell (u see a target u set ur pets on it and cast that spell though if this is the idea the idea isnt used much i dont think what with direct damage + inst lifetap theres not much need in it (though if a mincer/bard is trying 2 run away and ur grp is chasing it this spell could b useful))

snare,
you focus/concentrate to snare enemy, drain your power so long you have focus up.
if you move? interupt, if you get attacked? interupt.

aesnare dont work, have been bugged from day 1 when class come SI expansion.

The main advantage of it is probably that the target will be snared as long as you have your focus up, but otherwise it's an useless spell..What other usefull spell does a bd need anyway when they already got a 4 sec insta lifetap

I have yet to find a situation where one of those focus snare's would have been the best thing to do compared to anything else. I think possibly picking your nose is a more intelligent thing to do than use that spell.

It's just a gimp spell really :/
I'm sure there are some weirdos that use it, but for most ppl, they ignore it.

I believe the idea behind the spell was that intially Snare and Root were supposed to be on seperate timers but when mythic realized that they werent they just left some class's with both snare and root spells which did the same thing really with no benefits ^^

If they were on seperate timers you could root somebody then when it wears off just snare em. But Then again what works properly

hmm need check but i am allmost 100% sure,
if you focus snare someone? you can still root that person after focus snare.
you can focus snare same person time after time, dont giving snare immunity -> giving same time root immunity.

you focus snare someone? you snare him so long you have focus up, after you loose focus, loose snare.
working other way what castable snares.
