I have been looking forward to this. Its about children that have been raised by animals.

Well it has just finished and it was very interesting. It proves the point of parents behavior around there children and the way they treat them in the early stages of the infants lives counts.


As young kids we soak up every drop of the way we behave and comunicate at rapid pace but according to the program its only for a short time. If we leave it to long we will struggle in later life.

Anyways without going into it and boring you all it was a great documentary.

Aye i found it very interesting, especially with regard to the whole nature/nurture debate.

I also found it interesting that neglected children had massively under developed brains because of the lack of interaction and therefore the neural pathways not being connected.

Intriguing stuff.

No but he did chase his foster sister, push her on her knees and do 'what dogs do' ...oh and he's only 6. Which shows just how much he lacked the norms of social interaction.

no Lou sorry, but it did build on the point that the bbc dude (an't remember his name, some mad doctor with a wild perm) said about neural pathways forming when we were young. Felt really sorry for the girl that was brought up in a cage though. Damned to a life of state care

Yeh that was a shame. What really annoyed me was that the father did that to her probably as a bit of a power trip. But when he was found out he was so scared to face the world he shot himself.


He has ruined that young girls life who is now around 45 years old and still in an instutute

I have lifetime subs, and no, I don't have to record what it wants. Recommended viewing is just an optional feature based on what you've recorded in the past. I have it turned off.

If you've got the time to tinker you can do what we did, cram in two 240Gb drives, update the kernel and add network drivers for a custom TiVo NIC (get rid of that nasteh modem) and rip all the recordings via TyStudio.

Not sure which is spinkier, the fact i can stick my recordings onto DVD with a simple bit of recoding, or that it now has a web interface which i can reach from my smartphone... never go out and forget to stick something on record again :> teh win!
