Did anyone else see this last night?. I found it pretty interesting myself, but then again the body is a huge area of interest to me.

Next week it's a baby born with 2 heads, previews showed it to be pretty graphic, fascinating none the less.

I found it really interesting. Really nice kids as well, such a shame :(

The two heads thing is a different matter...but then I believe that siamese twins in general should be terminated before they develop too far. (Depends on the technology/place of birth etc I guess).

Again though it comes down to the pro-choice argument. Technically they're both living beings, and i'm not sure if they can tell where the twins are joint together before birth?.

Eitherway the siamese twins on this programme, it's not even really a pair of twins :x. One of them is a normal child, the twin however looked to simply be a head with a torso, no limbs etc. Sad story but at the end of the day the undeveloped twin is parasitically killing the other.

Not sure if you caught it, but they found out the Khan family defect was due to a single T-T base within the DNA, in a completely different location to that of the 'normal' Progeria. Instead of causing cardiac disease, it caused their bones to literally dissolve away. They thought the cardiac disease was not present because they were malnurished (sp) unlike the western countries. So instead of dying of heart problems, it'd be more likely their lungs become crushed, infected or whatnot.

aye, any cough or infection could be fatal, like their sister that died.
due to the weakness of the bones, the organs arn't properly protected as they should be. The doctor guy was leaving and for a present as he thought he might never see them again, he paid for the family to go on this boat ride thing with music and dancing etc:) was quite nice for them
