BM's gimped!!

Ok we all know BM's are an uber gimped class but to what extent??

Put it this way If i dont have either IP or triple wield at the ready near enough any class can own us solo.

Perhaps im wrong and am just gimped myself?? Sometimes i just feel like a melee ranger <gulp>

Thanes can 3 hit kill me, polearms own me, etc etc

I was killed by a lvl48 cleric tonight, so should have been equal, she was forced to heal twice but when outta end, no TW and no IP what is a bm too do?? Can anyone out there chuck me some adivce or flame me for being an idiot. Maybe I should respec parry, I dunno. It just gets me how talivar is no 1 on bm table with 800k rp, then no 2 has about 250k... im 8th on 135k, when other classes have many more rp.

zerkers always hit 2 handed with more dmg.... should BM's not be given a break and get some kinda loving that isn't given to zerkers and mercs at some time!!

Help this lonely BM!... plzzz

i don´t think gimped classes exists, i think there are some Uber clasess like Berserkers, Polearm Armsmans and Heros.

Talking about melee Bm are a nice class, you must work in your RA abilities.

If you think that BM are a gimped class ask to Talivar, Almecunia or Cjkace. If a Berserker kills you easy,it don´t means that you are gimped... they are uber

Me and talivar have had a 1on1 many a times and he has won tbh. But ive had 1on1 with u and u havent won lol but have u got triple weild? coz taly has that and it fuckin owns ;( i think bms are an interesting class, dont think i sucked because i didnt win against a cleric there pretty hard with smite spec plus that stun or what ever it is thats why there being nerfed.:)

Melee rangers get self buffs and speed tho ;)

Was thinking about one for pvp actually...

BMs hurt, Mercs hurt a bit more, Zerkers hurt ALOT more (in rat mode). Diff between BM and Merc really comes down to items, skill and such. DW styles seem slightly better than CD. Your Special is prolly better than ours since it can't be resisted, adds dmg and works on multiple opponents. When Dirt sticks its close to a "WIN" button in a 1v1 tho so I'm not complaining. Only that it should either be unresistable or on a much shorter timer than 30mins (or pbaoe).

Talivar and Almecunia took out 4 yellows cons and a blue con at Odin's the other night, don't ask me how those 2 do it, but they seem to make blademasters uber. I have yet to have a horrible group RvR experience when I am grouped with them. I think it's because they understand the physics of the game too, you seldom see them standing still in a fight, and their chains styles are solid.

In XP, I seen lvl45 BM's out tank all other style classes in prince raids and take some serious aggro. Anyway, you do get some more loving in the next patch, so you can start to smackdown trolls in the gorge ;)

I often found with my friair that a good tanking policy is to "/stick on that and rotate" ;) and I notice alot of good tanks/style wielders doing that. Use the strafe keys, they are your friend.

don't think BM is gimped. I think BM may be weaker than a merc or a zerker in 1v1 situations, but i don't think they're actually gimped as a class on their own....

I have never had anything to complain about with my zerker, ive read vnboards since I started and almost never understood what they whined about, but what I find funny is that almost everyone on vnboards(US-players) say that frenzy just isnt worth it.

I use frenzy every time I remember or have it ready and it rocks, BUT you suddenly become main target for EVERYONE, and with lower AF, no parry, no evade.. well your not all that in a bag of potato chips

Yeah I got it, but every time I meet you Ive just come out of a dual with someone else and its on a 30 min timer :p

Ill get myself to 50... at last.... and see how my 1v1 duals go.

Nah bolacks... zerkers are well overpowered.... They really need to lower their damage output a tab.... ( and they will eventually)

Tbh we should have the best tanks in pure melee thats what our realms for.

You have the best casters no argument about that, you have the best heavy tank no argument about that (hibbys that is) so comeon get a grip and come over here luri so i can 1 shot you :/

This is strange, i hear a lot of bm moaning that we suck and i dont get it???? with tri we win almost everything cept mercs and maybe zerkers, without tri we hold our own and win or come close against most ppl still. The master of 1 on 1 are mercs but they not half as good 2 on 1, then zerkers/bm are 2nd at 1 on 1 so i guess u should lv to 50 and then see. Max resists, make sure u got full blade spec and I would advise keeping IP :)

Gotta agree with talivar.. Lotsa whine from BMs (and others) that were gimped blabla. Either me and talivar is uber or the rest of ya is crap :p coz i sure wouldnt call me and tlaivar gimped.
But hey i wouldnt mind a 10 or 15min timer on tw instead of 30 :)

About mercs..
I had a duell with Matje the other day and ive never got so owned in my life. First it was pretty close, but i had to use IP when he was on ~15%, when i did that, he casted dirt on me, on 30 secs (or what ever the dur on it is) i fumbled 9 (!!!!!!) times.
He got me down to say 10% again before i finnaly hit him and killed him. Dirt is really uber in duells.

Nother thing, does merc get a RA attack speed boost ? coz suddenly he started hitting fast as hell but still did 160+ with main hand on each hit.
The dmg can have sumthing to do with my 0% thrust resist tho.. :)

Erm.. Talivar is on 950ish, im on 660 (less than talivar ONLY coz i took a brake and lvled a bard ;)). What the rest of the BMs is on i dont know.

Ok, a 48 cleric killed you. Clerics are probably the most overpowered class right now, hence they are getting nerfed next patch. You don't have the right to complain about being gimped on the basis of being killed by a lower level cleric. You do have the right to complain about clerics being overpowered though:-/

I'm lucky to have fought alongside with 3 other bms, we know what we can do and how to handle others it's that simple.

You're just ahead of me on rps, I've got 2 accounts and if u look at my sig you'll know why I'm not further up :p

3 lvl 50 bms in alliance of power and we get a lot of playful flak from our own people but they know we do a good job and talivar just spends a god awful amount of time in rvr, don't give up m8 ;)

I've always said if you can't beat someone find out more about them and their class, ask other bms since we have probably come across it, my first duel scared me cos I saw a 2-handed blunt and though ouch time but even with the mez and little sit down he took I still killed him.

I don't have ip myself, just aug dex/quick 2, dodger 3, mastery of pain 2 and mastery of parry 1, spec is blades 44, parry 42 and CD 44.

Tip for zerkers who go rat on you is move, once it's worn off you should have em easy and keep your slash resist up, it really does make a difference.

One of the hardest fights I ever had was against a damn healer, pevia I think, well he ran about like mad and then diseased me to wear me down and buff up a bit but a grey con hero jumped him and delayed him long enough to get my end back and pull my bow out to interrup his spellcasts, he got a DOT off on me tho but he gave me over 900 rps afterwards, shame those skulking mids oxata and hroft got me after but it seemed fair since I had killed oxata earlier :D

By the way oxata/hroft, you hit me for 20-35 with those things u call weapons, if I hadn't been on 5% health I would have killed one of you at least, I suspect the other would have legged it buit fair play to your class you did it well I laughed for ages :)

That was a good fight, would have won if i wouldnt have gotten "target not in view" so many times. :) I was there with my grp that ported to emain when i got ld. When i got back you stabbed me from behind. Started running around in hope to get you rooted and dotted after that(and ofc get my self buffed :D ) Thou i got your down from 100% to 5% before died(and i was using 15.8dps 3spd 89%qua hammer from df :( ). best "duel" with melee class i'v ever been in with my shammy. :)

I wasn't complaining, I love playing BM.

Anyways hit 49 tonight and owned odins along with killing 2 lvl50 scouts, a lvl50 SB, a lvl50 runie amongst others.

It was more of a lvl thing that seemed to be the prob, and timing my use of TW.. perhaps I should change the thread...

NERF BMS!!
