Hiii Guys

So I'm trying to help someone on buying a new pc, but having not built my own in ages my knowledge now being limited I'm feeling a bit lost. Their budget is around 650 - 700 quid and have been looking around and around and not quite sure what components to buy or whether to get the system from a company like Dell etc.

Needs a monitor preferably 20" along with 5.1+ speakers. So any help would be great.

Also in a few months I'll be asking the same questions for myself but with a budget of 1500-1800... yes I'm splurging.

The resolution on that 22" monitor will mean he will have to spend a lot more on a graphics card though.

Would agree with Soze's build, could make it a bit cheaper with the following parts if you need to include an o/s with it:

Samsung HD753LJ 750GB Hard Drive SATAII 7200rpm *32MB Cache* - OEM 139739 109 in stock £61.99 £53.90
Intel Core 2 Quad Q8200 2.33GHz Socket 775 1333FSB 4MB Cache Retail Boxed Processor 148933 6 in stock £136.99 £119.12
Coolermaster Elite 330 Black Case With CM eXtreme Power 460W PSU *SPECIAL OFFER* 135101 138 in stock £57.91 £50.35

Brings it to £625.10.

Personally would go for Soze's though :D
