I have a question or 2 on Bluetooth.

I've got B/T on my PDA and B/T on my Desktop. A m8 of mine says that as soon as he walks within the B/T range with his cell phone, it automatically syncs with his desk-top.

How do I get that ? Is it software ? Does it mean leaving B/T on constantly on both devices ? If you leave B/T on all the time, is there a risk of catching a B/T virus ?

B/T only has a range of about 10 meters, so i wouldnt worry too much about catching viruses on your pc

Install the software they provide with the PDA and it should all be pretty simple

Yes, you gotta leave both BT's on.

No, its unlikely to catch a virus. Your BT can be configured to connect only to devices with certain Id's. So you can prevent your mobile from connecting to random BT devices you encounter as well as make your PC only connect to your very own mobile.

About the sync thingy I cant tell. Depends on what you want to sync. Outlook can sync calendars and stuff I believe.

Gaaargh! i hate blue sodding tooth lol i see guys walking round the supermarket with the ear pieces in and want to scream "do you know just how silly that looks mate????" and they arnt even the ones pushing the trollies they got gfs doing that lol

I leave my BT on all the time .. dunno about the sync'ing though. Got some software on for haxx1ng but dunno how to work it lol.

There was a bloke in the pub last night - middle aged, talking to his mates, unremarkable EXCEPT for the bluetooth headset in his ear that flashed with a blue light. Looked silly. Its fine for driving, but leaving it permanently glued to your eardrum down the pub is just asking for a ribbing

Word, I got such bt headset with blinking blue light led in it, I never turn the light on in it tho.

YES! if u walk as close as 20 meters to another mobile phone that is contaminated and have BT on ur screwed as they automatically "shake hands" with eachother.

would be very careful leaving BT on if u have that program in that phone as it can easily be used to fuck YOUR phone up just as well as u doing it to someone elses..........
