So I had a chest infection just over a week ago now, was coughing quite violently and my side started hurting like fuck every time I coughed... anyway it was going away and my side began to heal, just got cold now though and i'm sneezing and the pain has come back 10x worse ;<

anyone got any magic remedies for severe muscle pain? its literally the most painful thing i've felt in my entire life, 111 were about as much help as a cock flavoured lollipop, all they said was "Get some rest and take painkillers at regular intervals"

They can prescribe stronger meds and also check if there's other stuff wrong(coughs can cause xyz), so yeah, those guys

Never mind, just had the doctor visit, i've pulled a muscle and it'll take up to 6 weeks to heal, she's give me some cream to rub on the area which I assume numbs it some what to take the edge off the pain.

I get 600mg pills for my back aches. They're wonderful things and if you top them off with paracetamol you'll doze off into a nice sleep

Codeine.

Fuck creams. I had SEVERE muscle and trapped nerve as a result of an fitness injury and some strong Codeine did the trick. Mix with coffee for a nice buzz. I think I was taking around 70mg codeine every 4 hours with 1 gram paracetamol.

What grammage was the codeine? That's kind of the important bit. If it's not prescription only, then dump them and get something useful.

Aye you need 60mg Codeine at least to kill the pain, over the counter stuff is pointless. Take it with grapefruit juice!

it was prescription codeine, not sure what gram it was though, was the wifes she had from her bad knees. this gel i have now should do the trick, takes a few days to start working though unfortunately.

That's basically what i did, had broken rib on the back and one in front, hurt like fuck when coughing but just take it easy, control your breathing, just wait it out, sure it hurts but it will heal.

It's always good to have the doctor confirm that it infact is what you think it is.

As for pain killers, I'm "lucky" enough to have a little stash of Oxynorm 20mg at my disposal "for when Ibuprofen just dosnt cut it.

Erm, yeah, what @Moriath said. I don't actually think you should listen to us anymore @BloodOmen 60mg of Codeine at a time is fine as is 1000mg of Paracetamol (every 4 hours) and you will be ok just this once with 2000mg of it but it is poison to the liver and it will quickly leave you in a bad way. Don't do it again
