depends on dex too
and weaponskill
so how much dex you reach buffed? and I guess its 42 shield?
Dont think you will be even close to actual blocking cap as warden in rvr.
i thought id of been close will come bck to you in a few mins with the buffed stats / ws etc
More over, somebody explain to me why the bastards have block cap at 60% but only 50% for Parry despite the fact specing in it offers no styles or other bonuses and only works against melee weapons not ranged.
Increase parry cap to 60% for 2H weapon users FFS !
/rant off
With 42 shield +5 @ rr6 with mob2 your block rate in rvr is 48,03%
50,83% parry
63,33% block + 6 %
but only 1494 WS :/
not your ws you have to worry about when calcing block rates its your enemies, pure tanks/zerkers/mercs/bms anything with over 2k wep skill basicly will drasticly reduce your block chance.
thats not true, your WS affects it as well, thats why armsmen block better than paladins, with same dex, shield spec etc
oki any ppl please explain this please if im rr6 have +5 shield in temp mob 2 what is my shield cap at ? some times i use cuul sword which has +4 or 5 shield on it but mostly ml10 mace
cheers.
331 dex
75base
101 temp
and 155 from buffs
str 328
83 base
+90 in temp
+155 from buffs
WS 1058
With 42 shield +5 @ rr6 with mob2 your block rate in rvr is 48,03%
Yrendan you're wrong.
Shadstar you have 59.05%
nope I'm not u have not checked alt.dex calculation
man any more views on it as dex comes into the blocking also silly came sould just tell u ur blockrate etc
just looked at charplan with +5 shield mob2 i got 59.05 with 331 dex any 1 confirm this if so im happy with it
u should use alt.dex calculation that shows ur actual block!
Your weaponskill affects your chance to hit through their shield.
Their Shield Weaponskill (You cannot see this stat) affects their chance to block.
-(300 Dex) X 2= 600.
-600-100= 500/40= 12.5.
-12.5 + 35 (assume 50+20 shield) = 47.5.
-47.5 + (for instance MoBlock5) 23%= 70.5.
-70.5 + 5 = 75.5% chance to block.
Note that block chance is no longer 75%.
This is just an example.
Parry is the same.
Try 28 + 15 because we'll assume RR5 and capped parry in your template. Also assume you have 300 DEX.
300 Dex X 2= 600.
-600-100= 500/40= 12.5.
-12.5 + 21.5 (assume 28+15 parry) = 34.
-34 + (for instance MoParry5) 23%= 57.
-57 + 5 = 62% chance to parry.
