Thanks middies (and hibbies!!) for a fun-filled evening!

At one point there were 60 enemies about. Noticed I said were. Now I know that you will probably log in when you think the rest of us are sleeping to take the keep back and hey that's ok... we'll just come take it again tomorrow :)

Again, thank you for the most rvr fun in a long while.

I umm wasn't. <blush> I was trying to take the back way into Blendrake to avoid you guys heh.

And dammit that other mid gave me an exp death. Not that big of a deal but I hate spending Choppy's, err I mean my money on const. Grr!! *giggle*

Could you albs or hibs comes attack Bledmeer sometime, it's been so much fun last few times but unfortunately it hasn't lasted very long :(

I even upgraded door so we can have looong nice battle there :)

Some albs tried day before yesterday but the crafters drove them away. Fear the crafters :)

Tell ya what, Dodens is ugly!! You seriously need to redecorate the place. I missed out on most of the nice rp by the time I got there but got to help kill 2 mids. :)

Damn Chodax and Musashi got into Summoner's Hall while I played tank to get them thru. See if I do that one again!

Wave hi to my grave when you see it by all those mean purple conned jarls. :)

Klav, its all part of attacking a defended keep, you should know that by now. :)

That just tells me that our people were doing something right. And hell we didn't stay and hug the guards like many people like to accuse us of, we actually came out and chased you down.

So please, don't whine, not about that. TDS and our alliancemates kicked ass, plain and simple. :)

TBH I dont think i'll be on many keep retakes if they are like that again, it had the potential to be a fun night all round with the defenders vs incoming zerg. Unfortunately Mythic in their wisdom instead of tweaking the guards for a harder experience made then damn nigh invincible.

As one of the number of SB there I can honestly say there is no point in me climbing walls any more, when buffed by our healer I made it in, swung twice, then got half way down the hill before a hail of arrows hit me. Unbuffed (after I was rezzed and the bowmen killed the healer) I tagged a caster from the climb point and before i'd hit the ground 3 bowmen had reduced me to <5% health. Add they can shoot through my stealth I dont see much point being there again.

Glad you guys had fun, I just wish we had the chance of a little fun as well.

Yes your cabalists somehow managed to find their aedot button and your NPC guards did what they are programmed to do :rolleyes:

Ah yes some of you chased us west at one point, those that didnt run back were killed. (at the same time as you went playing with the icestrider ;))
Perhaps you came down from the insane archer range when half of us suicided if that's what you mean? I dunno what happened after I released.

tut tut, excuse after excuse. now when your guild took alb keeps in the past and defended them you didn't hear albs making excuses if they couldn't retake, seems some mids don't like it when the boot is on the other foot.

I was not there but i know alot of mids did not go cos Defended keep takes are pointless if the defenders are greater than x number..

just wait for you to get bored and come out into the open and get ya then :)

But some people like banging thier heads against brick walls it seems...

Good tactics would suggest attempting to take a Well defended highly upgraded keep is a waste of resources.. Best to leave them to play castles :)

and defend the keeps around the one they have taken :) then strike when the time is right..

I must say the Increasing the Keep strengths and the guards reporting have all but killed small scale RvR unless you are close to odins or in odins.
virtually no one xps out on frontier anymore coz of DF and no no small groups of invaders because of DF and now the Uber guards they have to pass to get anywhere...

Must say Mythic are silly... and with the future patches I can only imagine less and less people playing ( ofcourse after SI mania dies down :) )

I think not even letting anyone near the door limits the fun. If you had let us past the doors and killed us at the courtyard it wouldve been alot more fun and imo more satisfying

Help me out here cause i'm not sure what part of my post was an excuse? I guess i was kinda arguing against what kyra said about coming down, and trying to point out that i didnt have any fun.

Luckily I brought a fullgroup to forest sauvage and farmed ~15k rp later in the evening. (oh we had 0 casualties by the way). THAT is what I call fun!
No hiding behind any walls and nuke or DoT from higher ground. Just pure simple skirmishing. That also falls closer to the category 'kicking ass' than grabbing a keep and defending it IMHO.

How much did you spend? I think my hard earned money will go to spellcrafting instead of doors to keeps which do not belong to me :rolleyes:

And I beg to differ about people not hunting out there anymore, you guys DO have that new dungeon and Blendrake is near Glenlock so the possibility of ambushing mids on their way to Dodens is very possible. (Hmmm bet you guys didn't think of that did ya?)

And Freia, shortly after you guys ran off I got a rez, went back with speed and managed to chase down a few more of you guys. I had a prime spot to watch your group's movements. :)

Its just a matter of you guys seeing what us Albs have had to go thru for months of retaking a defended keep. Yeah okay the guards might be a bit harder but are you saying that a few red guards are gonna stop you guys? Were they that hard that you would rather camp Sauvage?

Well I am glad you guys had fun in the end, that's what its all about. But don't get too cozy in our frontier, we will be around to evict you sooner than you think.

You know I would have enjoyed the attack, the dying, the rezzing, the regrouping, the rams etc etc

One thing stopped it tho.

AoE DoT.

1-2 of them, and the attack is halted. Ok, if I get killed by a scout, or a Fire DD or something like that then grats, I will admit defeat...the DoT just sucks.

Guess it's in the game though, so I'll have to get used to it.

Midgard are starting to not give a shit about relics/keeps/frontiers any more anyway. So few RvR now. 109 level 50's online - 23 were in a frontier.

I'll be falling into that bracket some time soon.

Well defended Albs.

Poor Milk, he's not the only one. I've recently put my mid/pryd chars into hibernation to seek out new laughs on hib/excal.
