Erm, why would you want to test whether RP farming were possible if you weren't planning to exploit it?

The only reason why anyone would want to do such a test would be so they could exploit it if it worked. If they truly wanted to test something for the wider benefit of mankind they could have done it on Gorre, could they not.

It's RP farming - and it's very sad.

i once was great friends with dunder but ill never ever look at him anymore with thinking *BAH!* and ill never see the respect in him as i did before Firehawk and Dunder will both get /laugh if i see their corpse how lame is that to rp farm..

Just be thankful the code is good enough so it DIDNT work. Thats all that really matters at the end of the day. How can u report someone for having the intent to cheat?! It DIDNT work. To report someone they need to be cheating, exploiting a bug of some kind. People don't get kicked for duelling...how is that not rp farming? Arranged fights where u get rezzed after u die so u can just try again until u run out of ppl to kill. I bet most of u have done duels at some point. Lets ban all u lot too then.

I really cant be arsed to check this forum every 5 seconds to defend this guy. Yes he realises what he did was wrong. We punished him by demoting him to our lowest rank and he has got the message.

At the end of the day this is game is coded well enough to stop stuff like this happening. If it was possible u'd probably have a bigger problem than this very little problem that has already been resolved.

you have just killed xxx i get this message often when i solo kill enemies, dont know why. But the answer from Goa where that either i where to far from the person i killed. Hmmmm ffs me a thane i can do so uber damage with my dd's so i kill enemies with them, yeah right. Also in their answer where that i've been farming. Hmmm, 1 kill every hour. Woohoooo i think i will put my hammer up and start farming wheat instead might get more rp's from that. More of the answer where that it's the new system put in use to halt farming that is not working as it should.

That i can buy, i dont even want to know how many rp's i've lost due to this. I just hope you infils get this when you kill me over and over again...

I was going to stay out of this discussion, but now I can't. Let me assure you, that WAS Dunderklumpen himself. I have been Dunder's friend for several months now, but this pissed me off. 10-15 mins before this happened (judging from the description, and events I will describe shortly) I was in Odin's gate. I had just bought two new axes (thanks Hellskor, they are great ), and was running to Hpk to suicide. At Hmg I see two characters standing around, one Firbolg (it was of course Firehawk), and Dunderklumpen. I didn't think much about it, maybe Dunder was mezzed or something? I ran up and fired off my lightnings and started whacking away at the Firbolg. During all this Dunder just stood there looking. I lost to the Firbolg, mostly out of two reasons. 1. I used my new axe, crafted and unenchanted. I do believe that makes a whole lot of difference. 2. He used the "out of view" tactic very effectively. Hats off to that. Haven't really met someone before that used it, so it took a while before I started countering it. But back to what I was telling. Well, I of course ended up eating the snow, and saw Firehawk and Dunder running off south together.

I released back to Hugin and sent "You could have helped out!" to Dunder. But I of course knew it was something fishy. He replied "I wanted to duel him." "I am quitting, and wanted to duel my friend before I left." "If you want to report me, do so, because I am quitting anyway." We were talking in Swedish because we are both Swedish. I was pretty angry at that moment though. Then I find this thread here, and find out that they did something far worse. Dunder lost another of his friends that day... :/

I wouldn't be surprised though if he sells or gives that account to his friend Firehawk. So if ever Dunder comes back, everyone be wary of him, because he may well be a Hib spy...

Buffbots are created because there already is an imbalance in the game. There simply is not enough buffs to go around. Few play healers and shamen active in RvR. We lack ressers, heals and buffs. Buffbot is an attempt to solve one of these problems and in that sense creates better balance. It equalizes the number of available concentration points per character a realm can field.

Only way buffbots cause imbalance is that good bot buffs are actually much better than those of, say a smite specced cleric.

Read that all again to yourself the repeat after me "Bollocks" How can it ever put balance back into the game? The first ever buffboit was created to get an advantage. The next are copycats. As they got more successful others got them to not be disadvantaged. There are still plenty of players without them. Anyone who uses a buffbot probably also thinks he's a great player because he finds he wins more than he loses. I've played with buffs its like selecting the v easy level. You get more rp's than thos unbuffed and so end up with more realm ranks than those ploding along without them. Kid yourself all you like but I know the smell of bs when I sniff it. Ask yourself this if you knew who was buffed and who wasnt would you leave the unbuffed ones alone?

Can't you see that the 'solution' creates the problem? A lot of clerics etc are stopping playing because they can't compete with buffbots. No-one wants a player cleric in the group cos there's a PLed full enhance cleric sat at the PK handing out the top specline buffs.
A year ago I never thought I'd hear about clerics being turned down from RvR groups and now it happens all the time.

At the time I wrote that post (over a year ago), mid/prydwen had had on average 3 active RvR shamen for.. dont actually remember for how long. That was way before shamen got end regen btw. Chances of a rvr group managing to get a shaman were -slim- That has somewhat changed now, tho to get fully buffed with speclines, a mid group still needs more conc than is available with one shaman.
