less flaming, people deal with these sort of things by trying to see some humour in the situation, not everyone finds it funny but tbh some folk find it easier to try and laugh stuff like this off rather than get depressed about it.

Just think back to how many jokes you heard straight after bad stuff happens, not sayng its something i do but there is a saying that if you dont laugh about somethings you cry, and the way things are now i have a feeling if you start crying about it you wont be able to stop.

TRY TELLING THE FAMILIES OF THE PEOPLE BLOWN UP BY THE TERRORISTS TO STOP CRYING !

Was going to write out a load of expletives. That comment angered me so much. But I'm not going to stoop to the level of a 10 year old.

Just go away. Please.

Er, maybe you should re-read what she actually wrote. ;) Although it might help if you try to visualise a bit of grammar in her posts...

Unless you are actually angered by the thought of people being overwhelmed by sadness and grief at the state of current affairs...? :eek7:

OK. I must have misinterpreted what was said.

As for your last comment, quite the opposite. I personally knew someone who was injured from Thursdays events, and was at Liverpool Street when the bombs went off.

I don't think this is a laughing matter. Anyone who wants to inject humour or make light of heart of the situation needs therapy.

I make no apologies for being sensitive at this time given that I am still affected by Thursdays events. I should of course direct my anger to those who perpetrated the murders. Any collateral aggressiveness is unintentional;

We all know a significant number of people who post regularly on these boards post insensitive offensive (and occasionally racist) comments. To these I direct my scorn. I could name names here, but refuse to give these shites any further attention.

I'm going to become the next hitlar and kill all the jews and a clown
Why the clown?
See nobody cares about the jews

I made people laugh irl. It makes them baby eaters because they laughed at a joke about the death of millions. Yup.

woah, just chill a touch, all she ment was, some people can ONLY cope with a situation by causing a joke, because otherwise they would break down and probbly not get up again, think before you insult some one like that, your post was more insulting then hers.

Just because some people react differently to a crisis doesn't make them more or less sensitive than people who break down and bawl their eyes out. It all depends on the person and their outlook on life. I know of two people (albeit indirectly; they were friends of my brother) who actually died in the incident. They were 27 and 28 (I think). Just because I reacted to the attack with anger and a nice dose of dry humour doesn't mean I don't feel sorry for their families or loved ones, it is just how I handle stressful or unpleasent situations.

If the bomb or whatever had gone off in brummieland and killed loads of people then, yea, Brite's comment would have been uncool but it didn't so ease off on the criticisms.

There is a difference between laughing your ass off at a tragedy and using humour to help deal with the pain/stress/fear of an incident like this. Anyway, isn't inappropriate humour in the face of a huge disaster a trait the brits are famous for? ;)

Urgh, my middle name is inappropriate humour. When I'm out meeting the ladeeyz I tend to do a helluva lot better if I don't actually say anything. Same goes for work, home, the pub etc etc.

Ah come on guys I have read Brite's post for a while now and I don't think for one minute that he meant to be unsensitive....
And as for having a go for Ez for saying what she said, well like she said we all deal with grief in different ways.
There is no words to put into a person mouth that can confront this sort of thing....it's just well unexplainable.
I have recently lost2 friends in a chemical accident at work and more recently my friend killed himself....the only way I deal with this is to have a laugh about them and the good times we had together,it's the only wayme and my wife got through it cracking jokes about if the guys atwork never went for there break etc....it's not sick it's my way.
What Ez was trying to say is whats the point in crying all the time, yeah it's real hard at the moment but one thing had always kept me going on things like this...Do you ever think that person that has left us is looking down and saying "go on cry and greive me forever" nah that person is looking down and saying "Crack with life"
My condolences go out to any friends or family affected my and Deborahs thoughts are with you :(

thank you guys im glad some people actually think of other folks feelings before they post something, tbh i try never to be judgmental and i always try to consider the person im addressings feelings when i post,

Seeing a guy getting flamed for something when imo he did nothing wrong made me want to stick up for him, getting flamed in the process made me feel like shit, so thanks a bunch, real nice of you there bud ta, hope it made your day.

just think about if youve ever laughed at a joke about any sad thing thats ever happened think why you laughed, i heard some one say on daoc one night about how when hitler got the gas bill thats what killed him and to me that was one of the funniest things ive heard because it ridicules the people/things that frighten us, doesnt mean i was laughing at the people that died from hitler's exploits.

anyway why am i explaining myself what you think of me is none of my business and vice versa, just please think before you post because sometimes people actually do give a shit what others think of them even though they shouldnt.

so what is your middle name then if its inappropriate humour? :p

and Ez, lots of people laugh at things like that, 99% of the time its in good fun, i can understand why lamp said what he did, but he was out of line with how he did it.
