Not sure if this should be in here but i am really really stuck with this. I can't play counterstroke for more than a minute without it crashing. I have looked throughout the net for a solution but can't seem to find one... i am not the only person having this problem, i have looked on the officail sites without luck.
My computer: Athlon 1.4 (not overclocked!) 516ddr ram, Geforce2 mx400 (with latest drivers) Window XP Pro, ASUS A7M266 mobo.
Ok basically the following files are causing errors and crashing counter. Hw.dll, client.dll, nvoglnt.dll and several others. The nvoglnt file makes me think that its a gfx card problem but as i have said i have the latest drivers. I have reinstall half life many times but keep getting the same errors, i have rolled back my nvidia drivers to older versions - the same. I have updated all my chipset drivers, bios version.
Is anyone else out there getting the same problem? I read something somewhere about how over clocking my gfx card might be a problem or my cpu running at too high a temperature. (averages 60c - not great but i wouldn't have thought it was a problem).
Very stuck there people, wanted to try to pick the brains of you lot out there. Help me please.
Oh i have tried to play in 3D3 but that just crashes my comp or even restarts it.
Help me please
