Stayed at my cousins for a few weeks and took DAOC with me on a USB stick, he has a 32 inch widescreen monitor with one of dem SLI thingy GFX cards.
Holy crap Camelot looks good that big, I mean really good with all the sliders on turbo and surround sound.
I've come home and my 19incher looks like a phone screen.

I went to 24" from 19" and it was like I had stepped into a new world. I did feel the burn of having to shell out for a heavy duty gfx card though, because I play a lot of FPS games and like having my stuffs maxed out with lots of AA and AF. Besides, if you have 1920x1280 then I will play at that rez and nothing else

Never really noticed it being bad to be honest. I never leave it on standby, always off

I recommended one for someone, as I knew the panel make and all the fluffy technical details - but the stand-by wake up time, aswell as "time from powering up to actually having image on screen" times are well long.

You press the power button on the pc box, screen in stand-by, and by the time it gives you a picture, you see the OS logo, effectively missing on POST msgs, "press this to enter BIOS" and stuff. Not a problem for the person, but I would hate that.

and big screen monitors for gaming would be ace (i mean I can't even imagine trying to play daoc on my netbook...although i do love it very very much it would actually be shit) B2 told me about when he was in china he brought some shoot em up game with him and played it on the projector screen before he had to teach class hehe he said it was awesome.
