Some of the replies are quite amusing. I guess running exclusively in a set group for nearly 2 months since I hit RR10 doesn't count ...

Special thanks to all the clerics I've grouped with for ressing my fragile arse countless times and putting up with my occasional moaning. Playing a fire wizard can be so frustrating sometimes.

I will retire this character now and find something else to play (no Steveh, RR12 is not an option )

Probably not adding on every fight you see endorsed by the "IRC Crew" and bradlex doesn't use irc and hardly post's on FH ..

Alaron 2 months of playing fair half the time (AoD have also added plenty during the last 2 months but at least run as 8 ppl only! and in open RvR) Isn't nearly enough for you to redeem yourself after 3 years of camping keeps/towers and adding on everything with your 3fg zerg. You're the prefect example of the classic "zerg at low rr run in set grp for a bit at high rr and go don't add on me like I did you for the past 3 years cos I only run 8vs8" person.

But grats rr11 is an achievement no matter how it's gained.

Edit - forgot to add that it's great you are running in fg rvr now instead of zerging like usual, keep it up, it's very nice, and you're a good fight most of the time. You just gotta do it for a way longer period of time

I must say I had a little peak on the good ol classic disk packages I still have saved (nerf )

And this game actually is about massive epic battles, Keep bashin and yeah nowadays even towers. Defending your bridges!! (brynja!) Defending the honor of yer country.
Stlong roleplaying but then again Massive Multiplayer Online [ROLE PLAYING] Game isnt it?

Myself I only play this game for 8v8, And its very frustrating when ppl add on yer fights or kill ya etc. or even toast your enemies which gives a good fight n such.

Then again 90% of the people or more who whines about adders on this fokin forum is adders aswell and dont hesitate a second to ruin fights.

And you get replies like:
Thought it was randoms
Just makin sure they not adding on our next fight we had IRC setup, thought we just kill em to be sure
They wouldnt have a chance vs us anyway

etc etc ALL guilds add once and a while, The thing to hide it is do make sure you dont do it all the time, and certainly not versus the good groups

Im pretty certain that my grp and <Severance> grp? or people think like rejectaa and ppl in that grp dont add. and House of Smek from midgard.

I respect my group leader's decisions. If the group wants to add, I'll happily do so. If the group doesn't want to add, then I won't.

Please point out where I've done this "don't add on me now" thing? Even though I'm running in a set group now, I still haven't changed my opinion about the unwritten "don't add" rule. You'll never see me QQ when we get adds, but the rest of the group might So I fail to see how I am your perfect example.

Just for fun, my RvR experience can be more or less summed up like this:

• 1L0-5L0: The first year of DAoC. RvR was very casual back then and it took me almost a year to reach RR5.
• 5L1-7L5: The glory days of keep warfare. Fond memories of defending keeps with GoP's 5-man wizard group for hours.
• 7L6-9L4: RvR starts to become more serious. Keep warfare dwindles and people start running with opted groups. The first "don't add" whines appear. Made most of my RPs running with AoD's 8-man group in OF and NF, until they decide to re-roll on Lyonesse.
• 9L5-10L1: The infamous iRvR period on Prydwen. Most whines originate from this period.
• 10L2-11L0: The return of AoD. Steveh, being the nice guy he is, invited me to his set group :wub:
